"Uhm, I am sorry it's just... In America, this is so unprofessional!" You were at a bar, with your manager. "Well, you did give me your two weeks' notice. I just wanted to give you a proper goodbye." He responded he handed you another drink.

Drained. You felt drained at your office job. It was a workplace that didn't know its meaning. Honestly, just a spawn of depression. You walked up to your manager when you were done with your resignation note. "I would like to give my two weeks' notice." You said, in a rather monotone voice. He sighed and looked around. Your manager had these blood-colored iris eyes. Ones that made anyone fear and respect him. Bombastic milky white hair and this personality showed nothing but confidence, and power. This is why so many people respected and admired him. He sighed once he noticed how many people had left his company.

"Alright." he stood up and handed you something back. "Thank you for your two weeks' notice. Come join me later tonight." And then he shooed you away from his desk.

You got back home early that day. "Hey, Chucha!" Your small cocker springer spaniel came running with such excitement, she got the zoomies. Then your husky, Daisy, joined in. Your house was just so chaotic, it made you smile. You sat down once they had. Daisy looked at the small note that you were looking at from your manager.

Daisy tilted her head in curiosity, while the other laid on her bed like a sack of Idaho spuds. You later found out that he had invited you to a Yakitori-styled restaurant. "Why is he taking me out to eat?" You wondered. Your Siberian husky just walked away. You sighed and noticed the time he needed you there. "18:35? What time is that?" You then began counting with your fingers. "6:35?!" You checked your clock and realized you had less than 2 hours to get ready.

You scrambled across your apartment trying to get ready for a meeting with your manager! "Bye Daisy, Bye Chucha Peluda!" And with that, you slammed the door shut.

Dogs POV

"What is Human doing?" asked Princess. "I don't know. She just read a paper and ran." Answered Daisy. "Also, why do you have like, 8 different names?" the husky wondered. "I was here longer than you. My real name is Princess but I get called 'Chucha' and 'Peluda' by human." Daisy nodded, she understood in confusion.

Normal POV

You made it to the yakitori bar, late by a minute. at least you had put on a decent outfit.

You sat down with your bag hanging across your seat. "You're late." He said, in a rather angered tone. "Well, only by one minute." He sighed frustrated. motioning towards the menu above you, you decided to look for the cheapest options. "Uhm... I guess I'll get the shitake skewer and squid." He noticed you ordering the cheapest items. "I know you'd prefer the pork stomach." He had a point. You did, But it cost too much. "Uhm..." He sighed and ordered for you.

The two of you getting beer as a drink for your salty and savory skewers. you felt like this was fine. Nothing was happening and you two were just enjoying good food. Once he was done, he stayed and waited for you.

"You done?" he asked. You nodded while wiping your face with a napkin. (Serviettes for the confused British people) You got up and left with him, ready to say goodbye. He stopped you though. "Come on, still one more place to go." and he walked you to that place. It was an actual bar. He led you inside. This is so unprofessional You thought. He sat down at the bar in the bar. (Do you understand?)

"You gonna order? Or am I gonna do it for you again?" You laughed. "uh... a cosmopolitan." He nodded and ordered a set of sake. After a sip or two from your drink, you asked him, "So, why did you bring me to these places?" He thought about it for a bit. "I guess... Just to give you a proper goodbye. Thanks for working with my parent's fashion company for 9 years." You finally realized the purpose of all those papers now. "So it was a fashion business?" you asked. "Yeah? Didn't you read that when you signed the papers to work there?" Now you just felt like a dumbass.

You two sat there, contemplating life for a moment. "well... I guess, Thank you, (L/N). Thank you for spending your time working with my family. He then put up his cup of sake in the air, waiting for you to say cheers. "Cumpai," he said as he drank his serving. You began to sip from the drink you ordered earlier. He offered to drive you back home. You accepted as to not seem rude.

You sat there, embarrassed. This is what you had gotten used to in America. Having your boss only go with one person to drinks, was kind of rare. Considered unprofessional. "Whats wrong?" he asked. "Oh, nothing it's just... This feels weird." You confessed. "Why?" he wondered. "In America, it's usually in one group that the boss goes to drinks with." he made a humming sound while he nodded

Once you got back to your apartment complex, he waved you goodbye and got back into his car, and you watched as he drove away. A soft flutter-like feeling hung onto your chest as you walked back to your apartment. Your dogs were happy to see you again and sniffing to know where you have been.

You laid down on your couch, trying to understand if this was normal here or not.
