I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. Zoe wasn't awake yet so I grabbed my phone and began scrolling through social media. My mom popped her head in the door and asked,

"Is Zoe awake? Breakfast will be ready in five minutes."

"Ok, if she's not up by then I'll wake her up," I replied. Then she closed the door and left. I continued to play on my phone. About two minutes later Zoe woke up.

"Morning sleepy head," I said to Zoe. Her hair was still perfect.

"Morning," she mumbled.

"Breakfast is almost ready. Do you wanna brush our hair and go downstairs?" I asked her.

"Sure," she replied as she stretched. We got out of bed and I straightened up the covers. After we brushed our hair we headed downstairs. On the table was, a bowl of fruit, a stack of chocolate pancakes, a plate of bacon, a plate of scrambled eggs and a pitcher of orange juice.

"Grab a plate and dish out whatever you want," my mom said to us. We took a plate of the counter and sat down. I grabbed two pieces of bacon some eggs and one pancake. Zoe did the same. My mom sat down and dished herself some food, as well.

"Mom, last night, when Zoe and I were out swimming, the pool just randomly heated up. Has that ever happened before?" I asked my mom.

"What do you mean," she asked.

"Well when the fireworks started the pool got really hot. The thermometer showed that it was going up about five degrees every minute," I responded.

"That's never happened before. Are you sure you were reading it right?"

"Yeah, I'm sure."

"I don't know. I'll ask the pool guy when he comes."

"Ok," I continued eating my breakfast and we talked about bother things for the rest of the meal. Afterwards, we washed off our dishes, put them in the dishwasher and headed upstairs.

"Do you want to go for a swim?" I asked Zoe.

"Sure," she responded. We got out of our pjs and changed into our bathing suits. I chose my light blue bikini that had pineapples on it. Zoe got into her purple and pink triangle bikini. We brushed our hair and put our cover-ups on, then we were on our way downstairs. I grabbed the sunscreen, which was SPF 45, and walked out side. When we got to the pool we took off our cover-ups and sprayed the sunscreen on. However, as I was spraying my legs I discovered something that resembled a tattoo. It was just a small dolphin on my ankle.

"Zoe look," I said as I pointed down to my ankle. She looked at hers and the same thing was there. We looked at each other in confusion. I tried rubbing it off with some of the water but it wasn't even smearing.

"What the heck? I know this wasn't here yesterday," I said.

"It definitely wasn't. Maybe it has something to do with the pool last night," she looked at the pool and then back at her ankle.

"Maybe."
