Chapter 2

Olivia's school term were fun, just like the other of her friends. Play with many friends at school. Active and smart in lessons. "The highest score for this subject is Olivia," said one of the teachers at her elementary school. All of her friends clapped and said congratulation to her.

Olivia's heart was very happy but it didn't cross her mind to be arrogant. She was proud of herself at the time, but she had no desire to bring her other friends down. Thinking of herself as the greatest of them all never crossed on her mind.

It all continued until Junior High School. She could still maintain good achievement. She wass good at bringing herself to be friends with everyone. And everyone really likes her. Even more surprising, "This year's best graduate goes to Olivia Joceline Gettardo," said the Head Master.

Olivia was thrilled, she was proud of herself. Olivia hoped that she could maintain this achievement until in senior high school. She was too excited and impatient to undergo a new story and new life in the "Ash-White era".

The long awaited day arrive, Olivia can't sleep all night. She is waiting forward to wearing the gray and white outfit that most people say is "The most beautiful times."

"Mother.... I go first," said Olivia to her mother.

"Be careful Olivia. I hope you have a nice day and what you expect," replied her mother.

Her face lit up the whole way. She isn't stop smiling in the car. But she doesn't want to smile too long. What do people think if they see her smile for a long time? Other people think can be strange later.

The first step after getting out of the car alone make her heart beat fast with joy. Especially if she meets her new friends and spends time together, such as doing assignments together, sleeping while masking, walking, eating together, and watching horror films at the cinema.

Derlangga High School, that's the name of Olivia's school. One of the elite schools in Jakarta. This school has 2 buildings, one for academic and one for non-academic and labor. The building has elevators and escalators, and there are only emergency stairs. There is air conditioning in each class, as well as CCTV in several hallways and important rooms. The classrooms are very clean, there are blackboards and projectors hanging on the back wall. Of course there are checkered windows, and matching curtains. Tables and chairs are arranged according to the number of students. The school environment is also very beautiful, there is a very wide green grass. Not to forget there are basketball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, and swimming pools. And the school was protected by a huge tall gate.

Her feet are already on the first floor of the school building. A friendly smile is spread to everyone, to the teachers and even to her seniors whom she doesn't recognize at all. While saying "Good morning .." Olivia trace every aisle of classes to find the whereabouts of her class.

She then take the first elevator and finally find her class. She enter the class marked X-1.

Olivia immediately put the bag on the bench she have found suitable for her. In her right sit her friend, "Hello, my name is Madellline, you?" the girl ask. "I'm Olivia, nice to meet you."

Olivia sit sweetly in her class, waiting for the bell to ring.

Then, she confuse to why the boys in her class that she doesn't know yet are running, scrambling, and pushing out of the classroom even peeking out of the window.

"Wow, that girl is very beautiful." Says one of the Olivia's classmate that she doesn't know the name of.

"I want to get to know her, I want to know what her name is and what is her cellphone number." Says another boy.

Olivia can't hide her curiosity. She then stand up, raise from her seat to follow what the boys in her class are doing. But just as she is about to step out from her seat, a girl walk in that captivated the eyes of all the boys in her class. Also at the same time the entrance bell ring.

The name of that girl is Naomi, a new student who is also in the same class as Olivia. A beautiful girl, has curly hair, but has tan skin, unlike Olivia who has fair skin because she is half of Italian.

The girl then sit down to Olivia's left. Olivia see her and give a sweet smile to Naomi. Naomi also look back at Olivia, but she give her a nasty look of disapproval and a smirk.

Olivia said to herself, "Why is he looking at me like that? What's wrong with me? Does she not like me? But how can that be, I just meet her for the first time." While looking at herself from the feet to the shoulders.

"Good morning new students." Tell their homeroom teacher.

"Good morning ma'am." Said Olivia's classmate.

"My name is Ingrid, I'm your homeroom teacher. Nice to meet you all!"

"I want you to take your timesheet and get to know you."

Until finally it is Naomi's turn. "Naomi Emannuella?" said Mrs. Ingrid.

"I'm here ma'am!" Naomi replied.

"Olivia Joceline Gettardo?" call Mrs. Ingrid.

"Come here ma'am," Olivia finished.

"Your name sounds foreign, do you have a mix from outside Indonesia?"

"My grandmother said that my father is Italian, ma'am, but he is dead."

Hearing Olivia's words, Naomi immediately look at Olivia with a sharp gaze. I don't know what Naomi is thinking and I don't know what Naomi is feeling. But from her first impression of Olivia, she seems to dislike Olivia.

Break time is arrive, some girls start to leave the classroom to go to the canteen or so on. However, several boys remain in the class trying to get Naomi's number.

"I'll give you my cellphone number, but with one condition. After this you guys leave me and Olivia in class." Says Naomi in a high tone and a little bit expensive

Of course the boys agree, they have gotten what they want.

I don't know what is going on in the minds of the boys that can be so obsessed with Naomi. Maybe apart from being beautiful they think that Naomi is a smart, kind, simple girl, and likes to help others.

Naomi then do what she's said, she meet Olivia in her seat.

"So your name is Olivia?"

Olivia just nodded in response to Naomi's question. She feel uncomfortable answering questions from people who use a high-pitched, bitchy and slightly arrogant tone. Especially the one she just meet

"You must know my name, I don't need to mention it again. I just want to convey that. Ooohhh... And one more thing I hope you stay where you are now and don't ever step ahead of me even if it's only one step." Naomi says in arrogantly and curtly as she left Olivia to head outside the classroom.

Olivia doesn't understand the meaning of what Naomi just said to her. The words that Naomi said to her are pictured in her brain as well as questions in her heart until she got home.
