The girly girl
Now, I've seen people use this girl as the mean character who puts on a lot of makeup. Now authors who have characters like this please think, what is wrong with makeup?
You might think people who wear makeup are insecure, but that's not true, sure some people may be insecure and makeup might be a way of dealing with the insecurity! I as a person who wears makeup often find it offensive that the mean girl is always in short 'slutty' clothes.
Now ask yourself. What is wrong with short skirts? Wearing short skirts for yourself is completely okay! Wearing crop tops are completely okay!
I wear makeup because it makes me feel happy and makes me feel pretty. But in these kinds of books the tomboy is 'god' whereas the girly girl who is someone society wanted women to be earlier is looked down upon.
Tomboys are accepted. Since tomboys are accepted are boys who like wearing skirts accepted? No. They are not.
And these characters are always after our lead boy. What the fuck. And this makes readers dislike them.
Can I see one girl who loves pink, wears 'girly' stuff, wears makeup and this girl is not mean. Can I see a protagonist like that?
Cliché number 1 done! The next cliché is going to be the 'Protective' cliché.
