Ieyasu's body felt heavy like there were tons of weight weighing down on him from wherever he was. The screams pierced his drums, reverberating in his head, they were muffled but still seemed to echo in his mind painfully, a stinging and pulsating sensation which made him wince. He slowly opened his eyelids. The bright light from the ceiling made him look away before completely opening his eyes.

His brown eyes met blue, he could see the eyes tear up and puff up. Ieyasu blinked and saw his sister's pale face, she pounced forwards and wrapped her arms around him. It was warm and comfortable -- Ieyasu thought it might've been the warmest hug he's ever received, the comfort halted only by the warm liquid which kept falling on the back of his neck.

His ears were still deafened and he couldn't hear anything but muffled sounds around him. His first instinct was to look around the room. It was white, everything was white, the only color coming from the spaces between the tiles, the sink, and finally the equipment he saw on a small table. Apart from that everything else seemed to be white. The white room gave him a sense of ease, everything seemed to be clean without a speck of dust -- it seemed as if nothing filthy ever came in contact with the room. His arm had a small tube going in it, connected to an IV to his side.

He continued looking around, there weren't a lot of people in the room, just his sister, his father, and him. Soon though the door opened in front of him and a tall man wearing a lab coat walked inside the room. His ears finally stopped ringing, and he could clearly hear everything being said, "however he will still need to stay in the hospital until we clear him out."

"Do you have any questions?" asked the doctor.

Ieyasu looked at his sister and then at his father before nodding, "How many days of school did I miss?" he asked. Ieyasu was lazier than most knew, he didn't want to catch up to homework and classwork if he had to, he was hoping he'd only missed a day or so.

"You've been in a coma for roughly a week," said the doctor, making Ieyasu's eyes widen, and just like that his hopes and dreams were out of the window, he'd have to catch up to a week's worth of homework, mostly because he'd already learned everything they are teaching at school. "You are a very uncommon case Ieyasu-Kun, we couldn't pinpoint the exact reason as to why you were in a coma."

"School?!" yelled his sister, causing his ears to go back to ringing, though this time for a shorter period of time. She stopped hugging him and looked him in the eye before glaring at him, "You've been shot! Don't you dare start talking about school," Ran said calmly, though with a hidden glare behind her gaze.

Ieyasu looked towards the only other person in the room he could trust for comfort, however, the doctor looked away and shrugged, making Ieyasu be forced to look at his father, who shook his head.

"Don't worry, you'll catch up eventually," said his father, getting up and leaving, "I think I've overstayed my welcome, I'm also busy, so I'll leave you two here," he said as he left, making Ieyasu feel quite pissed.

"Geez, if he says it like that it'll make it seem like he doesn't care," said Ran. Ieyasu turned toward her and saw her smiling while keeping her glaring gaze fixed.

'Could you please choose an emotion to target me with Onee-san?' questioned Ieyasu.

"Dad actually came here every day to check on you, and even declined various clients -- he's just playing tough, don't worry Ie-kun, I hear him cry at night," said Ran, getting out of his bed.

'Ran-nee, when you say it looking like that it looks like you want to extort him or something,' thought Ieyasu.

"Now, I have some questions for you Ieyasu-Kun, Mori Ieyasu-san," said Ran. Ieyasu looked at the doctor who was calmly tip-toeing out of the room like a kindergartner does when he steals something.
