The tale of how I became the hero of Planeptune

Chapter 2: Learning some new techniques.

I was siting on the couch in Neptune's house while thinking about moves that I need to learn and master. I was thinking about an area where I could meditate. So I went to the kitchen to look for her and I found Nepgear instead.

Jake:"Hey Nepgear."

Nepgear:"Hey Jake what's up

Jake:"Do you know where Neptune is?

Nepgear:"She went out to the guild to complete some quests to gain shares so that she can keep her powers. Do you need something?

Jake:"Yeah but I figured I could ask you instead. Do you have a place so I can meditate to awaken some hidden techniques within me?

Nepgear:"Oh, um I think we have a spot do you need me to keep an eye on you in case someone tries to hurt you?

Jake:"Yes that would be a great idea and thank you. It's so that I can become stronger and be ready to help protect this city with you and Neptune."

Nepgear:"Your welcome. I'm glad you are taking the time to prepare for some sort of danger this city will be in."

Jake:"Yeah."

Nepgear looked down and was scared.

Jake:"Hey what's wrong?"

Nepgear had a little trouble trying to say something.

Nepgear:"it's just... i'm scared."

Jake:"What are you scared about?"

Nepgear:"I'm worried that you and my sister will fail and worse die."

I put my hand on Nepgear's shoulder to help reassure her and comfort her.

Jake:"Hey don't worry me and your sister can do this. Plus we have you by our side to help fight. I am a little worried about her too. But I promise you Nepgear. If Neptune is in danger I will protect her in fact if both of you are in danger I will protect you."

Nepgear:"Jake."

Nepgear hugged me while she was crying.

Jake:"Hey it's ok there's no need to cry."

Nepgear:(crying)"Thank you Jake."

Jake:"No problem it's always in my heart to look out for people especially if it's a girl. You remind me of one of my friends."

Nepgear let go of me to regain balance.

Nepgear:"Jake, do you happen to have have a c-crush on my sister?"

I guess I can't hide it can I?

Jake:"Y-yes I have a crush on her Nepgear. Are you mad at me?"

Nepgear:"No it's just... my sister is lucky to have someone like you."

She noticed my clothing.

Nepgear:"You already look very strong judging from your abs."

Jake:"Not really but i'm wanting to get stronger."

Nepgear:"Well, after you meditate and learn some new techniques do you want to spar against me?"

Jake:"I don't know because it would not be right for me to fight against a girl and i'm worried that you will get hurt and Neptune would probably kill me. But thank you for offering though."

Nepgear:"Your welcome. I can tell that you have a good heart when it comes to talking to a girl."

Jake:"It wouldn't be right of me to hit a girl. Plus you're my friend Nepgear I don't ever want to hurt you."
