Mark:  he lives a lone with his grandmother and joined the adventures school so he can become rich and famous and repay her for always taking care of him.

Gray: a rich kid who ran away from home and joined the adventurers school to make a name for himself so he can stop living in his parents shadow.

Leona : new student, she attended the school  to get rich and discover the creatures no one has ever found. 

Phoenix: he is a book worm who is interested in proving the existence of the mythical creatures.

Layla: she is an adventure enthusiast who loves danger and lives only to find the most powerful creatures in existence the more dangerous the journey the better.

Professor Kireno : a professor who believes nothing without evidence but is quite open minded.

Kyle: he is irritable and mean makes fun of people for fun and is a big coward, likes picking on phoenix.

CREATURES LEVELS

1: harmless creatures mostly found in areas populated with lots of people.

2: mostly harmless, only a small amount of them are poisonous.

3: creatures that attack any thing that steps into their territory.

4: meat eating creatures that feed on livestock and small animals.

5: these creatures feed on lower level creatures.

6: kills and eats anything that wonders too close to it's home.

7: large creatures that live deep within jungles and forests. (source of food unknown )

8: these creatures are rarely seen.( information on diet unknown)

9: there is proof of this creatures existence. [eats level 8 creatures] no one has ever laid eyes on one. 

10: creatures read about in books and are said to be legends made up by delusional people who worship these creatures as gods. there are rumored sightings of these creatures all over the world but are yet to be proven. 

1000 years ago strange creatures started to appear in this world. They were relatively safe and friendly and scientists saw them as new discoveries. They admired these creatures for their cute and friendly behaviour towards humans and some even kept them as pets. Then suddenly more and more of these strange and never before seen yet magnificent creatures that kept appearing throughout the world. The scientist dubbed them the Maggicant beasts due to their mysterious nature, and the fact that they seemingly appeared out of thin air. And suddenly they started to pose a danger to mankind each new creature growing more dangerous than the last with modern weapons being of little use. These creatures have conquered the forests, the desert the oceans and the skies leaving little space for humans to occupy forcing humanity back into a somewhat primitive stage, as they could no longer fly in the air or sail the seas not to mention traveling in open spaces. Not being atop the food chain anymore distressed the humans greatly as they could no longer  tolerate living in such a way. And with this thought the first magic one was born into this world. This person possessed great magical power capable of destroying the creatures. After the first, many had followed until this civilization turned into one of research and magic. Now that humanity has developed to this extent they have decided to research about all the creatures that have appeared using the magic that was granted by the universe and so they were successful in their research discovering thousands of new species and succeeded in creating a catalog for each creature that they had discovered, however they were of the opinion that trying to do all this by themselves would take up time that they don't have as they have to solves these mysteries for the sake of their world. And so this led to them establishing an institute that trains children with their magic and assist them in learning how to help with furthering their research on the Maggicants.
