[A very important announcement]

|||||||☔︎|||||||

Lethargic, Minho stepped into the house. He neither bothered to take off his shoes nor his coat. Sluggishly, he walked to the kitchen and put his briefcase on the counter. He absent-mindedly reached for the fridge door not really expecting to see anything in particular and opened it. He glimpsed inside ready to close it but his eyes widened in shock.

A glass food container with a yellow sticky note attached to it.

He reached for it almost dropping it when he realized it was real.

"Minho? When did you come home? I didn't hear you," a gentle voice called out.

Minho turned around and froze.

Changbin frowned; his soft features painted with concern. He closed the distance between them and put his hand on the older's forehead checking for any symptoms of sickness.

"Are you ok-" he couldn't finish because Minho pulled him into a crushing hug.

"I missed you so much! I'm so sorry for everything!" he cried out. Changbin giggled and wrapped his hands around the older's neck.

"What happened to you today? I thought I was the moody one," he said visibly amused by the older's teary eyes. "Ow," he suddenly scrunched his nose in discomfort, "I think Hyomin isn't happy to hear her father crying either," he chuckled taking a step back and putting his hand on his belly.

Minho's eyes widened in shock.

"Hyomin?"

Changbin's cheeks turned pink and he averted his gaze to the floor. "I know we haven't discussed the baby's name yet but I think Hyomin would suit her," he confessed shyly.

Minho had a hard time processing everything that was happening.

Changbin was pregnant?

With his child?

And it was a baby girl?

Without giving it a second thought, he cupped the younger's face and joined their lips in a passionate kiss. The younger whined against his lips and stumbled a few steps back. Minho caught his smaller frame and hugged him once again.

"Hyomin sounds perfect," he replied and leaned his forehead on Changbin's.

They stayed in each other's arms until the doorbell rang.

"Minho," Changbin called out softly. "Minho, open the door," he chuckled.

The older lifted his gaze to meet his soulmate's eyes and his vision got blurrier. He was scared to let him go. He didn't want to.

Changbin smiled at him and kissed him tenderly. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll be by your side," he whispered against Minho's lips. "Go get the door."

Minho let him slip away from his embrace and watched him walk down the hall until he completely disappeared in the darkness of their house.

The pain in his chest returned. Minho opened his eyes and gasped for air. He was on the cold kitchen floor, no longer able to feel the younger's warmth.

The doorbell rang constantly.

Wobbly, he got up and opened the door. His mother caught him in her arms and crushed him in a tight hug.

"Minho, son, I'm so sorry."

"So it was only a dream," Minho thought and let the tears welled in his eyes flow down his cheeks as his mother comforted him.

[A/N]

It's me again.

I had a tough week and thanks to one insomniac night I wrote this sequel-ish chapter. I didn't plan to publish it because I already finished the one-shot but the more angst, the better, right?

Also, I have an important announcement to make. I decided to allow the book's adaptations. It means that anyone interested in writing a full-length book with my plot is more than welcome to do that. You don't need to ask for my permission as long as you give me the credits, okay? ❣

Thank you for your support throughout this short story.

Have a lovely day/night. ❤
