Mafias' Pride

Chapter 1

I couldn't help staring into his piercing black eyes as his body towered over me. "Don't you know it's rude to stare?" he asked with a devilish smirk.

 "I'm not intimidated by you nor am I scared so why would I avoid your eyes?" I asked rhetorically, trying to sound as confident as I could. 

He looked at me in shock, I could tell he wasn't used to people standing up to him. As I made my way back to the bar I could feel him staring in awe and I wasn't surprised, it was a reaction I'd gotten used to over the 2 years of working at the club. Ever since my parents kicked me out I have had to work multiple jobs just to get by. 

I live in a cozy little apartment with my boyfriend Matt who deals drugs. I know what you're thinking, Luna why would you date a drug dealer, you see I didn't really have much of a choice. 

Back when I first moved into my apartment I was introduced to my room mate, YUP you guessed it, it was Matt. He gave off a mysterious and uninterested vibe which just made me more curious. I know I know, I should've just minded my own business, don't come at me ok, I found that out when it was too late. 

One day after leaving work I saw a strange figure walk into an alleyway, "Don't do it Luna, just mind your own- YUP gonna do it" I said to myself. What can I say curiosity got the best of me, I followed the figure into the alley and to my horror, I had witnessed a murder. I let out a small shriek causing the murderer to notice me and I slapped my hand over my mouth but it was too late.

He slowly walked closer to me and I stepped back, only to bump into someone, had I paid attention earlier I would have noticed the muscular man guarding the alleyway. I was trapped..............no where to run..no where to hide, and the murderer was getting closer.

As he stepped into the light I saw his face. IT WAS MATT. "Well, aren't you just a curious little kitten," he said "you know what they say.....curiosity killed the cat."

AUTHOR NOTE: Sorry if this one was short but I'll be updating weekly and they will get longer. You will see more of the man in the beginning of the chapter in chapter 2, this is just an introduction chapter. Thank you for reading.
