Chapter 3

 JAXONS' POV:

I immediately ran out of the office and made my way to my car. I made my way home, parked my car, I changed into my wolf and went for a run. I owned a large estate with acres and acres of land so I could have peace, and no one would bother me, it kinda gets lonely here all alone but I've made peace with it. I stopped by a pond and shifted back into my human form. "Why would the murderer come back?" I thought to myself "He/she got away, disappeared without a trace, and instead of staying gone they came back". I'm feeling a wave of emotions right now. I was interrupted by my butler, Adrian. "Sir, the Sinclair's have arrived and are waiting in the dining room". "I'll be right there" I responded annoyed that my moment of peace was interrupted.

"Hello Jaxon, you look well" said Mr. Sinclair.

"Well, someone has to" I replied coldly, hoping they sensed the disdain in my voice. "So...what's your reason for coming all the way out here, it must've been hard getting your heads this far out of your poo-holes"

"You know your parents would be so disappointed if they saw you now, you're so disrespectful" Mrs. Sinclair said with a said with a disapproving look on her face, but I couldn't care less.

"HOW DARE YOU!!" I lunged at her lifting her fragile little body off the floor as I gripped her throat, I saw her mate (Mr. Sinclair) jump out of his seat and heading towards me in attempt to rescue his mate but with a flick of my wrist he was sent flying into the wall. I turned my attention back to his mate who was clawing at my arm trying to break free from my grip "First you come into MY house without warning, second you disrespect me and then you disrespect my parents!! That's where you crossed the line"

"Please, let her go, alpha" her mate pleaded.

I threw her across the room making her land right in front of him, I am ruthless, but I would never kill a woman, no matter what she did.

"State your reason for disturbing me this late" I said when they both got to their feet.

"As you know, we recently merged with another pack, the pack house got...well, packed and we need a new location for the other wolves" he said keeping his mate behind him, I almost chuckled.

"And you want them to stay here, fine they can, as long as no one bothers me" Despite being the alpha I didn't want to live in the pack house...for privacy reasons.
"That includes me and my family" Sinclair said nervously. I groaned at the idea of having to be in the same house as their eldest daughter, Sarai (Sa-ra-e), who has had a crush on me for as long as I can remember, and she wasn't shy about it either. Before you start jumping to conclusions, no I did not sleep with her, as much as I'm against the idea of having a mate I'm no dog, I refuse to sleep with anyone else.

"As long as you put a leash on that 'thing' you call daughter I have no problem" I said keeping the emotions off my face so they'd know I'm serious, I know it's harsh, but can you blame me, the girl has gone out of her way to make sure we'd end up together no matter how many times she failed.

"Yes Alpha" is all he could say as he left to inform the others, as much as I hate that family, I admire the respect they had for me, except Sarai. You might be wondering why I despise them so much, their youngest daughter disappeared around 4 years ago without a trace, and they only searched for 2 weeks then gave up and moved on like she never existed. How someone can just move on from losing a child that fast disgusts me, it makes me wonder if she really ran away but their family has nothing to do with me.

* The Next Day *

I woke up to the scent of over 90 wolves in my mansion, this was alien to me. I never liked being surrounded by my pack members, I've only been aware that my parents were their Alpha and Luna for 2 years and it was taking me a while to get used to the fact that every single decision I made would affect their lives seeing as I'm their Alpha now.

* ENTERING FLASHBACK *

I watched as my parents' bodies were lowered into the ground, they were being buried in the same casket but separate headstones. It was time for speeches, I wasn't in the mood to speak to a bunch of people, even people I had never met before were there. Just as I was about to leave, a man and a woman who I can assume was his wife came up to me, I got into a fighting stance because I could tell from their scent that they weren't human.

"Woah there!" said the man holding his hands up in surrender, the woman rolled her eyes "I'm Mark, Mark Sinclair, this is my wife Sarah Sinclair and over there mingling is my daughter Sarai Sinclair."

As if on cue their daughter sauntered over to where we were, I examined her carefully, she was a beautiful girl really, but she wasn't my type, I like natural beauty and she had bleached blonde hair, implants on both her breasts and butt, which she had no problem showing seeing as she was wearing a strapless red dress that ended at her butt and it was so tight it looked like it was painted onto her, as I said before...not my type.

"Hello Alpha~" she said, trying to seduce me and failing miserably but I didn't focus on that, what did she just call me.

"ALPHA!?" I shouted, "What the heck is going on?" I asked, my eyes flashed red as my wolf was fighting to stay calm.

"Well...your parents were our past Alpha and Luna, and since they died, you're our new alpha" he said carefully.

* END OF FLASHBACK *

And that's how it all started, Mark was my parents' Beta so after they died, he took over for a while before he found me and told me that I was to take over. His wife was reluctant because she enjoyed the power of being Luna of the pack. Since she couldn't be Luna anymore and she noticed her daughter took a liking to me, she and her husband has been trying to push us together but so far it hasn't worked.

"Alpha" someone said interrupting me from my thoughts, I sighed, 'Guess I'm gonna have to get used to this' I thought to myself. I turned around and saw Sarai, she walked closer to me as I watched her expectantly, when she was close enough, she dropped her robe which revealed what she was wearing underneath, a red lingerie. I forced myself not to gag and got up from my seat, I walked over to her and took her robe from the floor and gave it to her "If you ever try to pull a stunt like this again, you and your family will be removed from this pack, do you understand?" I said keeping myself composed when really, I wanted to rip her to shreds.

"No, I don't understand, do you know how many men would kill to be in your place right now, BUT NOOO instead you're waiting for your stupid mate!!!" she yelled, I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"If you don't find your mate soon you'll be forced to mark the most eligible female wolf from your pack, which is me, IT'S A RULE AND THE PACK IS WEAK WITHOUT A LUNA, you have no choice" I stared at her in disbelief. How dare she. As if reading my mind she slapped her hand over her mouth and started to retreat, soon I had her up against the wall, I opened the door next to her and pulled her to out of the room...time to make a statement.
