Oikawa Tooru is a well-known idol who can't find happiness anymore in his work or his life. So after a night out with his old college friends, he decides to join them to bring the Hamilton musical to the stage of Haikyuu!! Theather. Of course, this brings quite the trouble for him in his carrier not to mention his private life. 'Cus oh boy if he had known that theatre dancers are so hot he would have let his life be turned upside down earlier. For Iwaizumi Hajime he just might.

Pov. Oikawa

Truth be told Oikawa Tooru was satisfied with his life, after all, he was a quite famous idol. Had tens of thousands of followers on social media. He did jobs others would dream of such as being a singer, actor, and model. He was the epitome of what everybody wanted to be: famous, rich, and handsome. Truly, he had an amazing life. Yet somehow his days were hollow and he felt like a robot, doing the same routines. Being as perfect as he can be, because he couldn't allow himself to be normal. Normal meant mistakes, and those he cannot afford. That's why he did what they asked of him, being the perfect idol the people wanted to see. Even if that meant that along the process he lost himself. The real Oikawa Tooru.

Maybe this hollow life, the lack of happiness was the reason that he decided to meet up with some college friends in a nearby bar. His old roommate, Ennoshita Chikara had tried to invite him multiple times to grab a few drinks with him and some mates, but he never allowed himself to have time to relax. But after two years of working as an idol, he started to burn out. He needed a little break, even if it's for only one night. So he agreed and before he could have realized he was heading to the bar in jeans, a sweater, his favourite Converse, and on top of that, he was wearing his ugly round glasses tonight as well. Thanks to his hood no one recognized him on the street so he could calmly walk into the bar.

He immediately recognized the loud company in the last corner as his own. He had flashbacks to the times where they were still students with dreams, being happy. He didn't even remember if he had been truly happy since then. Tooru didn't want to think about that, he wasn't ready to admit things yet plus he came here to spend time with his friends.

"Yahoo~!" He greeted the others as he reached the table. Chikara jumped up and hugged him, while Koushi, Daichi, Tetsorō, and Kōtarō waited for their turn. Tetsorō, celebrating the reunion of their friend group, paid for the next round of their drinks. They were having fun, joking about memories and recent events. Tooru didn't even know why the hell he didn't make time for these people anymore. The people around him nowadays didn't care about him, just his fame. But his friends, even after all this time, were happy to meet him, they cared about him. He felt a familiar warm feeling spreading in his chest.

"Too-chan? Are you okay?" Koushi questioned him worriedly.

He opened his mouth to answer the usual I'm fine but he couldn't manage. He knew that his voice would be shaking, so he stayed quiet instead. He didn't know he was crying until the other men hugged him with one arm and wiped away his tears with the other. Good job, Shittykawa! Now you ruined the mood. You are one of a kind disaster to be friends with. They probably hate you for ruining their night-out.

"What's wrong buddy? Tell us!" asked him Kōtarō.

As he looked around he found reassuring smiles, he found himself safe. So he tried to steady his breathing and forced the words from his throat out.

"I-I d-don't think I h-have felt this happy for a long while now. I'm so glad that I have friends like you guys. And I'm so sorry for neglecting you. I have missed you so much." He sobbed.

Others looked touched and worried at the same time. Daichi looked him in the eye and squeezed his hand, encouraging him to spill his heart out to the group. Tooru took a deep breath and squeezed back. He told everything, how he felt, how he was treated like he was an object sometimes, how tired he was both emotionally and physically. When he wasn't able to continue Kōtarō switched places with Koushi to cuddle him. It was a NO.1 fact that Kōtarō was the best cuddler and comforter in their friend group.
