"It's your last day Casper. Come on, you have to do this. You have to tell him how you feel. It's your last chance." Casper repeated to himself as the day progressed. It was now around five o'clock, Jack would be leaving soon to get ready for his show. The last show Casper would ever see since Jack was leaving early in the morning the next day.
This was his last chance to express his feeling to Jack Davis. His last chance to find out if he felt the same way.
Casper was never one to express his feeling out loud or confess his love but he was desperately trying to gather up the guts to go talk to Jack.
"Ok guys, I got to go now. See you tomorrow." Jack got up and started walking away.
Casper quickly followed in pursuit: "Wait. Jack."
"Yeah." The eighteen-year-old stopped and looked at him with curious eyes.
"Ca-Ca-Can I talk to you for a moment?" Casper nervously asked, his hand coming up to pull on his right earlobe.
"Sure."
"Well... I-I was wondering if I could.... I mean... I-I wanted to ask.... Well.... Tell... Yes...Tell. I wanted to tell you something."
Jack set a hand on the sixteen-year-old's shoulder and gave him a reassuring look that stopped his rambling. "Breath."
Casper followed his instructions, took a deep breath, and continued.
"You know how I'm leaving tomorrow, right?"
Jack Davis nodded.
"Well... I didn't want to leave without... Umm... Without.... Umm.... Telling you that... I-I need to.... Umm...-"
"It's ok." Jack interrupted. "I know what you are trying to say."
"You do?" Casper had a reassuring look that immediately turned into him blushing as he realized that Jack Davis knew how he felt. Maybe there was a chance.
"Yes." Jack smiled, "My phone number."
"What?" Casper blinked confused.
"My phone number? You're trying to ask if you can have my phone number." Jack Davis gave him his famous, charming, and friendly smile. "You want to exchange phone numbers so we can keep in contact after you leave. Right?"
"Yeah. Yes... Umm... YES! That's exactly what I was trying to say. I want your phone number. Please." Casper smiled. He couldn't resist. Jack looked so happy that he forgot all his plans and couldn't complain.
"Let's take a picture together," Jack said after they've exchanged numbers, "so we can have it for our contacts." His suggestion made Casper very eager.
He sheepishly smiled and nodded vigorously: "Yes. Umm... Yes. That's a great idea." They took three pictures with each phone, and then Jack left to get ready for his performance.
Casper was ecstatic to have the pictures, he couldn't wait to have them printed and framed. This made him so happy, he couldn't stop grinning.

Jack Davis sat on his stool in front of the grand piano after the announcer presented him and the crowd cheered.
Just like always, Casper cheered a little louder than everyone ales.
"Today's performance is dedicated to someone special." Jack Davis announced. "My dear friend, Casper Jenkins." He pointed to the young man in question, the crown turned around to look at him, then applauded loudly.
Casper's eyes went wide from shock, then his whole face turned red and he gave a nervous smile. He couldn't even process the emotions he felt as Jack sang to him.
This time it was different.
He wasn't just singing and Casper was imagining things. It was real.
Jack Davis was singing to him. For him and him only him.
Casper had a huge smile the whole time. He couldn't believe this was happening. He felt so special.
He didn't think it was possible but this performance seemed better than all of the others put together. Casper was floating in another world every time Jack Davis sang. The man kept eye contact almost the whole time and Casper never looked away. His stomach churned with butterflies but he absolutely loved the feeling.
Halfway through, he had regained some composure during the break and decided to record the rest of the show. Now, he could re-watch it as many times as his heart desired.
The show ended much sooner than Casper would've hoped but he was high on the love drug name 'Jack Davis' even when going to bed.
That night, he had the best dream and wished he never woke up.

When morning came, Casper was devasted to have to leave and go back to his miserable reality. He tried to beg his mom to let him stay at the resort forever but she wouldn't budge.
In the lobby, they met up with Jack and his parents and were all delighted to find out that they all knew each other. Jack's parents were friends with Casper's mother.
Casper was ecstatic to learn that the adults were planning on meeting each other at the same resort the next year. He was so happy, he let out an eager and excited "YES!" that made everyone laugh.
They all hugged each other and when Jack Davis engulfs Casper's smaller frame in his strong arms, the young man couldn't help but squeeze tight. He held on for longer than necessary but Jack didn't seem to mind. When they broke he hung, Casper's cheeks were rosy and he could not believe her could blush so easily and so often.
"Bye. I'm gonna miss you." Casper said without thinking, but before he could take it back, Jack answered with a charming smile, "Me too."
Casper and his mom left the resort happier than they had arrived. "This was a good idea." Amanda happily stated.
"Yes, it was." Casper agreed as he hugged his mother and they headed back home.
Casper couldn't wait for the next summer when he would get to see his summer crush once again.
