minyoung chewed on her bottom lip as hard as she could, trying to distract herself from her thoughts. she bit so hard she tasted blood. she had been tasting it for a while now. she wished she wasn't bleeding, it just reminded her of earlier.
after jaeheon and minyoung had stopped sangwook from killing himself and he had fainted, jaeheon had brought sangwook to the room in the lobby deemed as the medic's. then the group got to work to bury the two corpses sangwook had brought in. minyoung had stayed away from both tasks and was sat on the stairs underneath the exit to the apartments.
suddenly, the door opened, surprising minyoung. she turned to see hyunsoo walk down the stairs towards her. she immediately stood up, "are you okay?" she asked with a frown.
"i'm fine." hyunsoo shook his head although he was clearly scared and still affected by whatever had happened on his errand. he grabbed minyoung's arm, "are you okay? you're shaking."
"i'm..." minyoung trailed off. she pulled her arm out of hyunsoo's grasp and hugged it around herself. "sangwook...killed someone while you were gone."
"oh." hyunsoo gaped.
"yeah, oh." minyoung repeated with a light smile although she felt like doing the exact opposite. she was so relieved that hyunsoo was alive that she wanted to hug him, but she wasn't sure if it would be awkward or not.
"are you done?" someone asked from behind minyoung. she turned to spot eunhyuk walking towards them. minyoung felt her blood boil just by looking at him. what made her even angrier was that when eunhyuk reached the pair, he showed minyoung a small smile.
"um, yes. they should be coming through that door within the next hour." hyunsoo replied to eunhyuk, pointing to the door opposite them. it lead to a different set of stairs to go the the different floors of green home.
"come on then." eunhyuk ordered hyunsoo and walked away. hyunsoo went after him, followed by minyoung.
eunhyuk led hyunsoo to the quarantine room and opened the door for the latter. hyunsoo stepped forward but minyoung grabbed his arm before he went inside.
hyunsoo turned to minyoung and looked at her in confusion. minyoung quickly wrapped her arms around hyunsoo and patted his back. "you were very brave today." she told him. after a few seconds of surprise, hyunsoo hugged her back.
the two eventually parted and hyunsoo stepped inside the quarantine room. eunhyuk closed the door and locked it. minyoung watched as hyunsoo walked into a corner of the room and sat down, staring into space. there was nothing to do in there; it must be hell to just sit with your thoughts.
