Anya's POV

I watched as he went and opened the door. As soon as he opened the door he was engulfed in a bear hug. The girl buried her face into his chest and said "oh my God. Masey I missed you soon much. I found out you were here so I decided to come. Hope you don't mind". She pulled away and that's when I saw her face. She was none other than Camilla. She's the one who got in between us. She always have had a crush on him. She being his best friend took a lot of advantage of that.

Mason always brushed off when she did something and said 'chill. It just her being her. Your overreacting. She's only my best friend. Nothing more and nothing less'. Her eyes met mine and instantly it turned cold like how she looked at me before. She wrapped her arm around his waist and I was burning at this point. But since I'm no longer his girlfriend I'm in no position to tell her to let go of him. He gave her a side hug and tried to distance himself from her.

A little smile formed on my lips knowing that he still sees her as his best friend. Nothing more. Nothing less. He noticed that she was looking at me so he said "oh. You guys already know each other but let me introduce you guys again. Camilla this is Anya. Anya this is my best friend Camilla". I noticed that when he said the word best friend he said it more clearly and slowly than all the other words.

I smiled at her and she said "Hi nice to meet you again. It's been so long right. If I recall correctly the last time we met was when you cheated on Mason". I was shocked when she said that. Me? Cheat on Mason? Okay now that's stupid. Why would i cheat on him when he was literally my whole world. He was looking down and he said "umm Cami I think you should go now". She looked at him with a pout and said "why. I just came here. Send her and spend time with me. It's been five weeks since we last saw each other".

He looked at her and said "yeah. But I need to talk to Anya. It might be five weeks since I last saw you but, Anya I haven't seen her for five whole years". She looked at me before kissing his cheek and said "okay. Call me yeah?". He nodded and she left the room. Me and Mason have been looking at each other for a while now. I looked away and said "umm so what was it that you wanted to talk about". He walked up to me and sat down in front of me and said "listen Anya all I want say is that I'm sorry for not going after you. Please forgive me".

I looked anywhere but his eyes and he again said "Anya. I know I'm asking for a lot. It's okay if you don't wanna. I'll just keep my distance if that's what you want. Just say it". Suddenly the door opened revealing Camilla. She came to him and kissed him on the lips. I was so shocked. She pulled away and said "sorry babe I forgot to give you this. See ya". He looked at me and said "okay that's not what it looks like". I stood up and said "it's okay Mason. There's no need to explain it to me. I'm nothing to you anyway. There's nothing between us. I forgive you Mason. But I don't think your girlfriend likes me around you. So yeah let's keep our distance. Forget that you know me and I'll do the same. Forget that we ever met. Forget that we had anything between us".

Mason held my wrist and said "but I don't think I can do that. Come on. Please let's start again. Are you just gonna give up on us". I pulled my wrist back and said "Mason there's nothing between us. You can't do this. Don't you remember why we broke up in the first place. Mason, you were the one who gave up on us. She was the reason back then and she still is". I walked up to the door and he said "Anya if that's what you want I'll try. But I'm not making any promises. But Anya can you at least let me explain".

I sighed "okay Mason you have two minutes". He smiled and I almost smiled back but I held back. Suddenly the girl came back again and I was sure I wanted to kill her there. She hugged Mason's arm and said "umm can I have some privacy with my boyfriend". I nodded and looked at Mason and said "sure. Your boyfriend is all yours to have". I walked out and I could hear Mason calling me but I just kept walking. I was so hurt.

The reason why we broke in the first place was all because of her. And again just when I had a little hope that we could get together she came back. And this time claiming herself as his girlfriend. She sure is lucky. She better take care of him. Cause once she breaks his heart I'm not sure what I'll do. But, As long as he's happy I'm happy. Even if I want to hate him I can't. I can't because I love him too much to hate him. But Mason, for you to have a good life with your girlfriend I need you to hate me. I'm sorry for all the things I said to you. I'm sorry that I told you to forget what we had. I'm sorry Mason.
