Y/N'S POV

We were still in the main hall.

"Y/N my dear. Can you please come here and introduce yourself to Sister Krone?" Mama asked. I nodded and walked towards them. I still had my mask on.

"Hello. It's nice to meet you, Sister Krone. I'm Y/N." I said innocently. She looked at me as if suspecting me but smiled.

"What a beautiful little girl you are! I'm Sister Krone! Nice to meet you, too, Y/N." She greeted me. They leave.

I saw Emma signaling me to follow them. I walked towards them quietly and saw Mama directing Sister Krone's room. My hand was shaking.

"Please use this room." Mama said.

"Understood, thank you." Sister Krone replied.

"She's settling down in a bad spot." Ray said quietly.

"The center of the three children's rooms." Emma said.

"To make it easier for her to watch us..." Norman said. They turned to look at us. Norman and Emma smiled. Ray just had his poker face on. I just stared at them. We go to the library after. I sat on the top of the library.

"I was distracted by the tracking devices that I didn't think we would get another adult." Norman said.

"Actually we should be happy about this." Ray said.

"What? Be happy?" Emma asked confused. I raised my head to look at them.

"Carol and Sister Krone. We have two more sources of information." Ray explained.

"I see." Norman said.

"First, where did those two come from?" Ray asked.

"Carol is Conny's replacement. So they're replenishing the merchandise." Norman said.

"Yeah, if this place is a farm, they must have a site where they prepare one-year-olds for replenishment." Ray explained.

"So did all of us come from there originally?" Emma asked looking at me.

"Probably. And also that Sister Krone." Ray answered.

"It's significant that there's another adult other than Mom. There might be other farms just like here, so are the adults who obey the demons under the control of demons from birth, or after they're captured? After we escape, things will change depending on that." Norman explains.

"But first, we need to figure out how to escape with everyone. And location of the tracking devices." Ray said.

"I searched all over my body, but I didn't find any traces of something implanted." Emma said.

"And nothing in our clothes or shoes." Norman said.

"Based on humankind's existing technology, it probably uses radio waves. But that requires batteries. Something really small that wouldn't leave a scar, and with batteries that last over 10 years. That kind of product wouldn't exist in 2015." Ray explained.

"Meaning?" Emma asked.

"It'll be difficult to predict the mechanism, find the location, and figure out how to break it. And we might as well give up if it's technology originating from the demons." Ray explains.

"True." Norman said.

"What? So, checkmate?" Emma asked.

"Yup." Ray answered bluntly.

'Geez. At least give Emma a hope or say it in another way.' I thought.

"No way!" Emma said.

"Well, even if we can't figure it out, we can guess." Norman said.
