CHAPTER 7

Yeji was interrupted by her ringing mobile phone. She went inside to answer it and went back out again at the balcony.

"Oppa, hello!" she answered.

"Dongsaeng, did you receive my housewarming gift?" Yejoon asked her.

"Is the plant the expensive gift you were boasting to me?" she asked scrunching up her face in distaste.

She eyed the plant in the middle of the centre table.

"Aigoo, my sister is annoyed. What do you think of me, a cheapskate?" asked her brother.

"I'm just pulling your leg, Oppa. With or without an expensive gift, I am happy with what you already gave me. You ordered and paid for the moving company, thank you. And yes I like the plant as well. Many thanks, Oppa!" Yeji sincerely said to her brother.

"Na-ah-ah! That is not my present for you. That is why I am calling because it will be delivered tomorrow and somebody has to sign for it." Yejoon boasted.

"What is it? Please tell me!" Yeji excitedly prodded her brother.

"It is a surprise, you'll see." Yeji heard Yejoon laughed on the other end.

"Thank you, Oppa! You are really the best!"

"Of course I am your only brother."

"I love you, Oppa!"

"Anything for my pretty sister. You need to show me around your house some time."

"You can come over now if you want. I'll text you the address."

"I can't, Yeji-ah, I'm doing an all-nighter tonight and for the next two days. I need to go now, I got a bleep. I'll see you here at the hospital and then we plan it with mum and dad ok."

"Alright, Oppa. Thanks again. Fighting!"

Yeji heard her brother ended the call and smiled.

Her brother is indeed very kind. Eversince they were young, his brother has doted on her. She too is likewise with him. Their relationship never changed. She can rely on him anytime and always he is supportive of her endeavors.

She hoped her brother dates Yura so he can be happy too, not just studying or running at the hospital treating patients all the time.

She smiled as she finished texting her address to Yejoon. She has been matchmaking her two favourite people in the world since they were in college. However the two are just so career-driven and profession-orientated.

"Talk of the she-devil." she said to herself as she saw Yura's number calling on her mobile.

"Hello, bestie!" said Yura on the other end.

"Why is it you always call after my brother calls me? Is that coincidental or the two of you are talking to one another to trip me up?" Yeji asked.

"What are you talking about?" her bestfriend confusedly asked.

"You know what, why can't the two of you just admit that you have feelings for each other." taunted Yeji.

"Are you insane?! Yejoon-ah and myself are just friends, he treats me like you, as his sister, nothing else. And I called you for something else. I don't even know why we are even talking about this." Yeji could tell Yura is exasperated.

"Ha, ha, ha! Admit it, you like my brother. I've never heard you address him as brother, it's always been 'Yejoon' or 'Yejoon-ah'."

"Please stop. If your brother hears this conversation, it's embarrassing!"
