" Beep" "Beep"

Izuku woke up to the harsh sound of his alarm, though he was barely shaken as he wasn't a deep sleeper, in fact, he was hardly a sleeper with how much of an insomniac he was. Izuku tiredly turned off his raging alarm and got out of bed. His room had finally started to take shape into his own as he had finished the process of unpacking, though there were still multiple boxes in the corner of his room filled with All Might merchandise. Every time that Izuku saw a picture of All Might, he found himself feeling nauseous due to the guilt of his actions (well more so of his attempt of actions). All Might is such an amazing hero, and Izuku couldn't help but feel that All Might would be ashamed of his actions, that he would be disappointed with him.

Izuku tiredly got out of bed and started his morning routine of getting ready. He first did what he needed to in the bathroom: brushing his teeth, showering, the normal. Once he finished he started to change into his uniform. While he was putting on his uniform shirt he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and couldn't help but sigh. Across his chest is a huge burn scar. Izuku couldn't help himself as he stopped changing as he stared at the huge mark on his body. His hands subconsciously started to fidget with his skin, almost as if he was trying to peel off the physical reminder of the consequences of being quirkless. It was this mark that put him in this assassination classroom.

His bullies were never afraid of being physical, that much has always been clear. Sure he has a few scars here and there, but nothing bad enough that warrants the emergency trip to the hospital that he had. It was this incident that caused him to finally open up to his mom about all the bullying. His mom took charge of dealing with the event as Izuku had to focus on healing. His mom never fully gave him the details of the incident, but considering Izuku's removal from the school he could only assume that it didn't go their way. Izuku couldn't help but wonder just how different his life would be if he never got this mark if the girl never lit his chest ablaze. But there is no point in contemplating the past as he now had to charge forward.

He was caught out of his trance when he heard his mom knock on the bathroom door. "Izuku baby is everything alright you've been in there a while. You need to finish getting ready soon if you want to have time to eat breakfast before school."

"Sorry mom, I got distracted. I'll be outside in a moment."

Midoryia quickly finished getting ready and exited the bathroom. Before he went to the kitchen he went to his room to grab his backpack and left it by the door as he sat down and started to eat breakfast. His mom sat down with a cup of coffee and looked at Izuku as if contemplating something, then she shook her head and spoke.

"So you mentioned that you made new friends at your new school, right?"

Izuku quickly shook his head yes as he inwardly panicked as his mind flooded with worried thoughts of his mom believing him a liar, thinking that he was hiding bullying in his new school just as his old. His mother seemed to quickly pick up on her son's panic as she quickly said: "Perfect, why don't you invite one of them for dinner!"

Izuku fully paused at this comment. His mind quickly went to Nagisa as that would be the person he felt most comfortable inviting to his home, but he couldn't. Nagisa didn't know that Izuku was quirkless. He didn't know just how powerless and useless he was. How can he invite someone into his home, when he knows that once his quirk status was revealed that he would be all alone again. Izuku sighed and told his mom: "I can't. I didn't tell anyone that I'm, well, ya know..." Izuku looked to the side as he was unable to look his mom's in the face. He was ashamed of him tricking his classmates into thinking that he had a quirk, he didn't want to see the disappointment in his mother's eyes.

"That's all right honey." Izuku's face shot up and he stared into his mother's green eyes. "I understand that you might not be ready to tell people that, but still. I'm sure that nothing will change once they find out. You are a good judge of character Izuku, I'm sure that your friends are good people who won't abandon you once you feel comfortable enough to tell them."
