"Gosh, I am so pissed." A woman with blonde hair and tan skin said, angry and disappointed. "A meeting for magicians, they say. Only one or two magicians just showed up!" The woman's secretary smiled nervously, "Ah, but it was still a great performance, Seren-nim (can't I just place -San?!). Also, everyone were mesmerized by your singing!" She said, praising her charge. The woman, Seren, glared at her secretary with tearful eyes. "Who cares?! The most important ones, Black Magician-nim and the Black Princess-nim, weren't there!!" She whined. Her secretary inwardly sighed, what did she do to get such a whiny, but popular, brat? "M-maybe he had something important to do, Seren-nim." she said. That made Seren cry even more. "Why do you think I performed in front of all those haughty nobles...?" she cried, "He's so heartless, choosing a mission over me!" If the secretary wouldn't get fired, she would be spouting a lot of mean words to the woman.

When Seren mentioned about the carriage not taking them anywhere, the secretary informed her that, since there was a warning about a demon in the pass they usually go through, they had to go around. Seren, not being cautious about it, decided that they should go faster.

'What is this woman thinking?!' Her, not-so, secretary, thought.

'You better get here fast.'

Looking out, Seren's secretary said, "Is it just me or is the forest getting spookier by the second?" Seren gave her a glare and said, "If you keep saying that, I will not hesitate to throw you ou-"

The ground shook, cutting the celebrat- er -celebrity off. Seren looked out, "What's going..." she said as the next words dying on her throat as she saw the monster, a Demon.

Seren was not able to hear the warning of the guard who got hit, nor did she see the narrowing of her secretary's eyes.

'Why... Is this happening to me?' Seren asked herself as the Demon destroyed the carriage and peered into it. Seren inwardly screeched, 'Please... Not me, anyone but me!' she thought, her eyes wide in fear. Her secretary stared at the Demon fearlessly.

Suddenly, the Demon was slashed, and in a flurry of events that she could not understand, the Demon was down and the Magician who saved her walked towards her.

"Are you... The Black Magician?" Seren asked, the man stayed silent, yet somehow this strengthened her assumption. "Y-yeah... there's no doubt... B-but where's your partner?" she said. The rumoured Black Magician stayed silent again, "It will be dangerous to go this way for a while..." he finally said. Seren looked down and nodded, "... Yes." She was so ashamed, and to think she was about to leave her secretary there in order to run for her own. Now come to think of it, what happened to-

"Do it." A voice of someone she could not recognize said behind her. Seren looked back to see that her secretary was no longer there and that a little girl with a glowing dark red (almost black, just as the rumours said) crown on her head replaced her.

"Can you place your signature please?" The Black Magician said, seemingly embarrassed as he held out a piece of paper. "'Goooo!'" The girl, who Seren is sure is Black Princess-nim, suggested.

Seren stared, 'That's it? All what the Black Magician and his Princess would ask from me is a mere autograph? No performance or anything?' Black Princess-nim sighed, "This. Mission." From those words, as incomplete as it is, made sense to Seren now... They were only getting her autograph as their mission, maybe for the Master of Opion himself, or some fans of hers. "Let me see that..." Seren said, determined. She'll change her attitude, even if it made her meet her most desired guests.
