chapter eleven

Nathan and Megan are at the house and he's getting her dressed for the wedding. She's in a poofy, white dress with flowers printed around the waist of the dress. She has light pink slip on shoes on and a flower crown adorns her head. She's the flower girl which both Nathan and Haley have said is a big responsibility.

"Okay, and you are all ready, looking as cute as ever." Nathan says, attacking her face in kisses making giggles erupt from the young girl's mouth. "You ready for this?"

"Uh-huh." Megan nods, still grinning. Nathan smiles softly at her.

"Okay, c'mon." Nathan lifts her up, carrying her downstairs where his parents are. They get ready to leave the house and all ride to the wedding venue in the limo.

They get to the venue and Nathan stands outside, holding Megan, worry for Haley consuming him because of his dream last night.

"Nathan?" Lucas calls, walking up. Megan grins at him and he softly smiles back. "You okay?" He asks his brother.

"Yeah." Nathan nods.

"Daddy sad." Megan says, squishing the brunette's cheeks.

"I'm not sad." Nathan tells her before turning back to his brother. "Have you checked on Haley?"

"Yeah, she's fine." Lucas assures.

"She should be here by now. Can you call her?" Nathan asks.

"Nate--"

"Please. Just do it."

"Okay, alright, alright." Lucas takes his phone out, finding Haley's contact. "Hey, Haley, you alright?"

"Something's wrong, man." Nathan says. Megan can sense her father's worry and rests her head on his shoulder.

"Hey, what's up?" Haley asks. Lucas gives his brother an 'I told you so' look, handing him the phone.

"Hey, it's me. Is everything okay?" Nathan asks.

"Fine, soon-to-be-husband-again, why?" Haley asks.

"I just... I just wanted to hear your voice, that's all. Where are you?" nathan asks.

"I'm right here." Haley says.

Lucas gets Nathan to turn around for them to see Haley sitting a horse drawn carriage, riding by them. She blows Nathan a kiss.

The wedding is about to start and Nathan is reminding Megan of what she needs to do.

"Okay, so, when you start walking down the aisle, you're gonna toss the flowers out as you walk down it. You think you got it?" Nathan asks.

"Mm-hmm." Megan nods.

"Okay." Nathan smiles. He puckers his lips and Megan pecks them with a loud 'mwah' sound making Nathan chuckle. "I'll see you in a bit, alright, baby?" He says and the girl nods.
