Nathan is holding Megan and walks up to the front door where Dan is talking through the door to Deb who is inside.

"What's going on?" Nathan asks.

"Your mother's on crack. She changed the locks on my house. Will you open the damn door?" Dan demands. Megan whines at his stern tone, leaning into her dad.

"No! You have to leave." Deb states.

"Fine. Come on, Nathan. I'll buy you breakfast." Dan says, starting to walk away.

"Nathan." Deb opens the door and stops him from going.

"Hey, do you mind? I need to talk to my son." Dan says.

"Yes, I do mind. I mean it, Dan." Deb says.

The two fight with Nathan and Megan stuck in the middle and the fighting causes Megan to start crying.

"Shut the little brat up!" Dan orders his son before going back to fighting with Deb.

"Hey!" Nathan glares at his father, but he's too busy arguing. "Okay, stop! Stop!" Nathan gets them to shut up as Megan continues to cry, her dad's jacket balled up in her tiny fist. "You guys don't get to decide who I live with, all right? I do."

"What are you talking about?" Dan asks.

"Look it up. It's not your decision. All I have to do is take my case to the judge. And right now I don't know if I want to live with either of you." Nathan states before going inside with his crying child. He goes up to his room while trying to comfort Megan.

"Baby, it's okay. It's okay, baby." Nathan comforts. He tries to get her to stop crying, but he's annoyed and distressed right now which he knows isn't helping.

Nathan sets her on the bed and takes a few steps back. He knows he has to calm down in order to get her to calm down. He takes a few deep breaths until he feels calmer.

"Okay, let's try this again." Nathan gently says. He picks Megan up and cuddles her to his chest. "It's all right, baby girl. Everything's okay. The yelling is over." He rocks her and begins to him which eventually gets the girl to stop crying.

It's nighttime and Nathan walks into the cafe holding his child.

"Hey." Haley greets.

"Hey, you're still here." Nathan says.

"How are you? I'm always here? Are you okay?" Haley asks.

"Whatever I said last time you asked me that question probably still applies." Nathan says.

"Want to get some coffee? There's some left if you want to talk about it." Haley says.

"Actually I'm kind of tired of talking about it." Nathan says.

"Oh, okay. Well, if there's anything I can do to help, let me know." Haley says.
