Bangchan POV.
Around dawn, the shrill voice of my father echoed through the corridors and travelled straight into my room. I was taken by surprise to wake up in a hassle so early in the morning; something was indeed amiss. Having shrugged the wrong feelings away, I decided to close my eyes and lay down again. Alas, luck wasn't on my side. My father instantly teleported to my room, the wind smelling of crisp leaves and snow accompanying him. His green eyes, as bright as emeralds, were scanning me from head to toe. My heart beat paced up out of fear. I was clueless as to what I must have done wrong, or was it really about me? I pulled my knees up to my chest, hugging myself as I hesitantly backed up on my mattress.
"Dad, I swear I haven't been causing any trouble." My words left my mouth as inaudible pulses of a high frequency sound. My dad face palmed himself, shaking his head sideways as a no. Feeling relieved, I decided to pay attention to what my father had to deliver."Report to the hall of gods in a matter of 5 minutes. Don't be a second late, I have to make an announcement." He snapped his fingers, disappearing into thin air again. That was my cue to hurry then. I stretched and cracked my knuckles before hopping out of my bed at the speed of lightening. Curiosity was driving me insane; what could father possibly have to announce? I slid myself into an outfit and batted my eyebrows.
My chin lifted almost imperceptibly higher. I suppressed a shiver before flying up to the Golden Hall. On my way up, I spotted a familiar figure; It was Felix! "Oi Felix!" He heard me and turned his head towards me, winking quickly at me as a reply. He seemed unnecessarily distant and that sent goosebumps down my spine. "Why is everything so different and weird today?" I mumbled to myself. Upon arriving at the hall, I only had enough time to join the other gods and then my father appeared. Above his unadorned white shirt was a fine cobalt blue jerkin trimmed with gold."Thank you to all the gods for sparing me sometime out of their busy schedules. I have to announce something important, hence I have gathered you all here today. Since we planned on going on war with the titans, I decided to maintain the security of our children aswell.
Afterall, they are still young. I came to a conclusion that we should send our children down to live with the humans until the war comes to an end. Hermes will be guiding them and supervising them." Hermes nodded and curtsied lightly, lifting his hat off of his head and placing it on his side wings. An uncanny feeling ran down my spine; is dad really in his senses? Us and living with the humans? He must be drunk. My eyes searched the whole hall for Felix. My eyes met his, probing, intent. We both were frustrated and unsure of how this could possibly work.
No one had the courage to deny the already passed order. Without any further ado, Hermes gripped onto our hands and started to run at sonic speed. We couldn't even process anything, it all just happened as a series of events. After 5 minutes, Hermes brought me and 7 other gods to a house; it seemed more like a wrecked shack. "And we're supposed to live here?" My blood began to boil at the sight of an a wretched, abandoned sunken house. "According to Zeus, this indeed is your residence. He paid for it and you'll live in it." He shrugged, not in the mood to pay heed to anyone's attitude.
He handed all of us a sheet of paper, laid with all the necessary information. "Now, this is the list of instructions. Keep it safe and do not lose it. If there are any questions, ask. And most of all, do not get noticed or you'll create a big mess. Understand?" All of us nodded and he extended his arms to hug his son."Han, remember it very thoroughly that I love you and care about you. Just make sure to not run too fast." He pulled back from his son and faced the rest of us. "Best of luck, you guys. You'll do amazing, don't worry. And don't think we'll forget you. We'll always watch you from up there." He hugged all of us individually and patted our heads before waving at us. He spread his wings, ready for flight before taking off again.
Within seconds, he was out of sight. Once he was gone, the room was enveloped in a cloak of silence. I awkwardly looked around and saw Changbin. I froze on spot at the sight of him; I was a little scared of him. "Let's just head on inside." I twisted the door knob, kicking the door open. We stepped inside, dazzled by the beauty of the decorations that hung on the walls. I spotted Changbin again before diverting my gaze back to the paper. My eyes went wide and a sharp gasp escaped my lips.
"HIGHSCHOOL?! WE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THAT!"I screamed at the top of my lungs, clenching my hair in my palms. "We all suck at social interaction, now what." I took a deep breathe, trying to calm myself down. No one bothered and stormed to their rooms, locking themselves in. I let out a deep sigh, going to my room aswell. The beds weren't as comfortable as the ones we used; I already felt homesick. I looked around the room, there was only boring wallpapers, an uncomfortable bed, a plain wooden study table with a broken chair; it couldn't get any worser. I held my head in the palms on my hands. "High school, I don't know how i feel about that. tomorrow is the first day at high school. I just hope it goes well."
