ACT ONE

INT. LABORATORY - DAY

We get a close look at the Lab.

INT. STATION 1 - DAY

A SCIENTIST pours a glass of green stuff into a separate glass of blue stuff. PIETRO, the head of the experimental division, approaches the Scientist.

PIETRO
Is it done?

SCIENTIST
It's ready for testing, sir.

We see a secretive man working on something. He looks scared.

PIETRO
Test on that variant. He means harm.

SCIENTIST
Sir?

PIETRO
Do it.

The Scientist signals BODYGUARDS towards the secretive man. The bodyguards both nod in response and approach the man. They grab him up and take him away as the man screams in horror. We hear the door smash shut.

PIETRO
Send the sample to the administration room.

SCIENTIST
Yes sir.

The Scientist grabs the samples and runs off camera. We slowly zoom towards Pietro's face.

PIETRO
Leave the recruiting to me.

EXT. NEW YORK CITY - DAY

With Super passing by, we are flying above the city of New York at bird-height.

NEWS REPORTER (V.O)
A Terrorist attack on the Statue of Liberty just occurred this very morning. Luckily Local Super, Fironic...

ANGLE ON FIRONIC

We get an angle showing us FIRONIC flying in the skies of The Big Apple.

NEWS REPORTER (V.O) CONT'D
...was nearby to save the day once more. Fironic has saved millions of lives...

INT. THE TRUAX ENTRANCE - DAY

The TRUAX FAMILY, filled with many people in the same house, are running around the place. PEOPLE are walking and chatting just about everywhere.

INT. THE TRUAX LIVING ROOM

NEWS REPORTER (V.O) CONT'D
...from widespread floods to forest fires, he's a true super.

We now get an introduction to 15 year-old, HELEN TRUAX, who is watching the news. We see the NEWS REPORTER is on TV. On the TV, Fironic is taking photos with pedestrians.

NEWS REPORTER CONT'D
We need more like him.

HELEN
Ugh.

Helen turns off the TV.

HELEN
Stupid Supers. None of them have heart. They're all just in it for fame and riches.

Helen hops out of her chair in frustration. She approaches the entrance of the house to see all the commotion. She sighs in exhaustion. Helen walks over towards the kitchen.

INT. THE TRUAX KITCHEN - DAY

Helen walks towards the fridge and opens it. We see a collage of leftovers in lunch boxes. Helen grabs the milk carton and closes the fridge. She places the milk carton on the counter and grabs the cereal box next to the fridge to place it on the counter. As she places the cereal box down she notices on her side, her mother, SUSAN TRUAX, leaving the house through the back door. Helen runs through the door.

EXT. ALLEY - DAY

Helen walks towards the corner of the wall and peeks to see what her mother is doing. Susan is talking to GANG MEMBERS.
