"Both of y'all wake up!" I heard in my sleep then i opened my eyes it was my mom. I smacked my teeth and got Maria off of me.
"What mama? Jesus." I replied
"What's going on here, Why she here." She kept going on and I looked at the time on the kitchen stove and it was 7 pm. We did sleep for a while. Ion see how we did it.
"Ma , calm down. We just gotta tell you that we expecting a baby." I mumbled the last part. And Maria looked at me shaking her head next to me.
My moms hit my head hard. Shit hurt.
"Bro what? Why?"
"The real question is that why you was still in my house fucking after I told you not to. And I told you not to see her again? Once again you being disrespectful, your father wouldn't like this shit." She told me.
"Mane dad ain't got nun to do with this. He'd be less strict then yo ass for one. No congratulations or fucking nun? Like you got a grand child on the way and you acting like a mess. You don't never support or have faith in me in shit I do anyways. This why I'm moving out in the first place. We definitely ain't gotta stay here." I shrugged pulling Maria's hand to my room and sitting her on the bed. I closed my door and she just looked sad.
"Why I knew she was gonna react that way?" She said
"Oh , that's just my moms. I don't care tho. I been looking at a place for the longest and I think Imma get it. It's an apartment. With two bedroom, I can afford it. Long as you put in with me. Save the rest of that shit for our baby?" I told her.
She nodded.
"Okay well , after I get out of school we can go look? How that sound. I think you got enough sleep though."
"Yeah , I did actually. I wanna go to the gym tomorrow also. Just after I get done with my school work. I hear being pregnant will make you fat, So I don't want that."
"I mean nothing wrong with being fat. Plus you already kinda skinny, not thick or skinny so I think this would help you grow a lil ya know um meat on ya lil self." I told her and she laughed a little.
"Took that shit too far, but I hear you. "
I was being dead serious bout my lil comment tho.
NEXT DAY AFTER SCHOOL.
I put my bookbag on the counter and walked into my room to see her sleeping. I bet she ain't do her work neither.
