Hey guys! It's Saturdayyy :D You know what that means... new chapter!!! hehehe <3 Thank you for the 100+ reads (wish it was more but I'm still happy) :) This chapter may or may not be short but I hope you'll like it. Niall time!!! <3

Chapter 5                            ~Day Before the Ball~                                  

(Niall's POV)

Thursday was a hectic day. Everyone was so busy doing their jobs that, they didn't really get to rest. The disco ball is finally installed, the DJ stand is now set up, we've got people coming, orchestra coming, our tux's are rented and in our rooms (Ms. Reina sure can surprise people), Harry finally chose our opening song, I finished planning the food for the banquet, and Mio finished arranging the roses.

I plan to cook the food tomorrow morning with Ms. Reina's chefs. Damn it... I have to get up early tomorrow, probably around seven. I wish that I could sleep in though...

I was sitting in the indoor greenhouse when I heard someone come in. I turned around and saw Mio admiring the roses. She really is beautiful.

"Hey" I said. She looked up, startled. "Oh! H-hi! Sorry, I didn't know if anyone was in here" Mio stuttered. I chuckled and said, "Come here to see me?" I winked. She laughed. "Actually... this is a place where I usually come to get some peace and quiet. By the way, I didn't know you were such a flirt", she winked back at me.

"You're quite a flirt yourself", "Why, thank you Nialler", "Please... have a seat", I patted the space beside me. It was a two-person couch, pretty cozy. "Okies!", "Haha". She plopped down on the seat. She is shy, yet, confident at the same time. I guess that's what attracts me to her.

"Want to play a game?", I asked her. "Sure! What kind of game?", "21 questions" I grinned. "Alright. But you start first", "Will do". I start asking her some personal questions.

"How many boyfriends have you had?"

"Only one"

"What happened?"

"He cheated on me with another girl. Can't blame him though... she did look pretty"

"Well, he must be blind. I'm sure you're prettier than that other girl. Actually, no, you're beautiful"

She blushed. "Thank you Niall".

"Anytime Princess" I smiled.

I asked her more questions, about herself and the things she likes. There was this one subject I came upon, which made her quiet. I asked her about her parents.

She told me about them and how they passed away, then she started to cry...

"Shh... Mio, I'm sorry I asked. I didn't know. I'm sorry", I hugged her and she buried her face in my chest. "It's alright Niall. That question was bound to come up sooner or later" she mumbled. Her hair smelled good, like strawberries. "I still am sorry for making you cry. And my 21 questions are up so I won't ask you about stuff that will hurt you anymore, okay Princess?". She nodded in my chest.

I carressed her hair and rubbed her back gently. We stayed in that hugging position for a while, until she stopped crying. She raised her head from my chest and looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes. I wiped the last of her tears and whispered to her... "You're beautiful". She smiled and those cute little dimples formed.

I know it hasn't even been a week yet but, this girl makes me feel happy and alive. A lot of people don't believe in 'love at first sight' (I mean, I didn't but when I first saw her... I felt a spark between us) but, sometimes it happens and there's nothing you can do about it. I will get to know her better and see if she really is the one.

"So! It's my turn to ask!" Mio put on her dorky grin. "Yup! Ask away", "I will". She asked me about myself, how many girlfriends I've had, and other subjects.

"And... that was 21 questions!", "Aww... already? But I was having so much fun" Mio grinned. "We'll get to know more about each other later Princess", "Okayyy".

We stopped talking for a while, then we heard someone opening the door. "Hey guys! Watcha doing? Not doing any funny business in here are ya?" Milo winked at us. He's a pretty cool guy to talk to. "What's up Milo?" his sister asked. "The tree branches, the glass, the sun, the solar system...", "And other stuff beyond the universe" Mio added. "Haha, right you are. Anyways, Aunt Em told me to come look for you guys, we're gonna have a feast!", "Sounds good to me!" I told him.

Mio got up first and walked in front of Milo and I. Milo whispered to me in a very hushed tone, "If you like my sister... please don't hurt her in any way. She's really fragile and I love her too much to see her get hurt again" his voice pleading.

"I won't hurt her. I'll try not to. I will do everything to protect her and not see her hurt", "Thanks man", "No prob mate". After our little hushed conversation, we went inside and ate our hearts out. (Well, I know I did).
