Next day, She headed to the local youth club to seek classes in martial arts, her mother pushing for her to learn self defense after explaining where she had been and how she had a cut on her arm. She hadn't expected to find anything, yet when she is shown the martial arts room, she can only stare as children were taking each other down in various ways, another small group of children being taught a new way to hurt someone. As she stepped into the room, feeling self conscious in her yoga pants and vest top, a man started to head over to her. ''Are you here for Okinawa Goju Ryu?'' his gruff voice spoke to her as he surveyed her. ''Yes, I am.'' She replied, short and sweet. ''Your attire is good enough for now, child, head over there for warm ups.'' He pointed to the younger children, who were gathered round learning a new trick. Saying nothing in return, she headed over to the group, putting her bag on a bench as she did so. A child huh? She thought, as she got into position, same as the other children. She would teach him. And teach him she did.
A few months down the line and Felicia had nearly mastered the art of Okinawa Goju Ryu. In her spare time, she continued her gymnastics and cheerleading, but her computer savvy skills taught her how to pick locks and crack open safes. Luckily, she had no child locks on her computer anymore, and she could self study in piece at that. Yet, the simulations were done with her mouse and headset, and how she itched to be let loose on an actual safe to see if she could crack it. Her skills were starting to become varied, as more and more she develed in the art of thievery, playing computer games which involved stealing something, and escaping without capture, as she certainaly did every time.
Stood in front of the same man who had met her only a few months ago, Miyagi Kanryo, they bowed to each other, ready to face off. Pupil vs master. ''Not going easy on you kid.'' His gruff voice passing over to her from across the room. ''I don't expect you to, Sensei.'' She responded, feeling slightly excited at being able to face off against him. She knew he had the martial arts on his side, but she had that and her gymnastics/cheerleading training to boost her a little. A gong rang, and they started.
Kicks, punches, rained down on each other, as they twisted, span, evaded each other's moves. A good punch hit Felicia across the face as she span and hit the mat. ''Don't be cocky child.'' A voice said to her, and she flipped up again. ''Should of stayed down.'' The same voice said, a small smile on his worn face. ''Never.'' She responded, and attacked again. She was back on the mat in minutes. ''You're using anger now. You're useless.'' His gruff voice hit her like a ton of bricks. No. She wasn't useless. She knew she wasn't useless. She would prove herself. She got up again. He was trying to rile her up, so she would keep failing. She wouldn't fail. A new stance, a new attack on him. Incorperating her gymnastics, she flipped over him, attacking him from behind. He evaded the first couple of punches, but not the kick as it smacked him in the jaw. He stumbled back, and she pressed her advantage. A flurry of punches, aimed at various points of his body were executed. He managed to dodge them, and the next couple of kicks, but then took another punch to the stomach. As he doubled over, she pulled him into a knee to the face, and shoved him into the mat. As she panted, wiping a slither of blood from her lip and nose, she watched him slowly get up, before bowing to her. ''I've taught you all I've can Felicia-chan. Congratulations, you're a master in Okinawa Goju Ryu.'' As the other pupils gathered round her to congratulate her, she didn't feel very accomplished at all. She just wished her father was here to tell her how proud of her he was.
