"Um, you guys. You can let go of each other now." Hermione said. I looked at Draco and blushed. He finally let me out of his embrace. Ron picked up my switch knife and handed it to me. "Here." He said.
I grabbed it by the handle, causing my hand to touch his for a second. "Thanks." I said, flipping it closed and putting it away. I saw Ron blush at my touch.
Draco went in front of me and hugged me. I obviously hugged him back. "Are you okay? Does your scar hurt? I saw you grabbing it." He said, pulling away and placing his hand on my neck where my scar was and then moving it up to cup my face.
"I'm fine now Draco." I said, placing my hand over his. "Are you sure your alright Princess?" Harry asked. I looked at him and smiled. "Yes Harry, I'm alright." I responded. I looked over at the dead unicorn. I went up to it and kneeled down beside it.
I looked around and spotted a white flower. I went to it and pulled it out from the ground. I went back to the unicorn and placed the flower on top of it. "Such a beautiful creature yet horrible things happen to it." I said. I placed my hand on it's body. It was still warm and I noticed it twitched at my touch.
"Hagrid! It's still alive! We can still save it!" I said. "I'm afraid the wound is too deep, Lily. It's too late." Hagrid said, sadly. I felt a tear fall down from my cheek as I looked back down to the unicorn. A warm feeling came from my hand that was on the unicorn. After a moment of shock, the feeling went away.
The unicorn slowly sat up and we gasped. It stood up! "Y-You healed it, Lily!" Hermione gasped. "I didn't know you could do that!?" "Neither did I.." I said, just as surprised as they were. It shook it's head. I reached out and pet it. It then connected it's forehead to mine.
Thank you. Your heart is made of gold. She said to me, but the thing is, she said it in my head. Your Welcome. May I ask what your name is?" I said back to her. I don't have one. Can you please give me one? She asked. I thought for a moment what name to give her. How about Winter? I asked. I like it. Thank you. I will be there for you from now on. Goodbye Lilianne. Winter said.
Goodbye Winter. I said. I stepped back and she ran off. I looked at my hand then to the others. "She thanked me." I said. "How? She didn't even speak, did she?" Hermione questioned. "And how do you know it's a she?" Ron asked. "I heard her. She was talking to me telepathically. I could tell it was a girl because I heard her voice in my head." I explained.
"She asked me to name her and I called her Winter. She said she will be there for me from now on." I said. "But how did you heal her?" Harry asked. "I don't know. All I could think about was saving her." I replied. "Wicked." I heard Draco beam.
"Let's go." Harry said. Hermione extended her hand and I took it. We then walked back to the castle. "Do you think you'll see her again?" Hermione questioned. "I hope so." I said. She smiled and placed an arm around my shoulder.
When we got in the castle, we were about to part ways but Ron spoke, "Lily, I was wondering If you'd like to join me in the library to study for our up coming exams?" Uh oh. He's asking me to be alone with him. I can't say no, that would be rude. What do I do!? I forced a smile, "Sure. I'll join you at the library." I said.
"Why don't I come along too? I need to study as well." Draco said. I turned to him and smiled. "I'd love it if you came along. What about you Ron? I said. "Well.... If it's fine by you, it's fine with me." he said. "Then it's settled. We'll see you tomorrow in the library after class." Draco said. "Let's go to bed. Night guys." I said, hugging hermione and ron, kissing harry on the check and I lead Draco back to our house.
Once we got in, I sat on the couch and let out a sigh. "Everything alright?" Draco asked. "No. Ron basically asked me out. I didn't want to hurt him, so I accepted." I said. "Don't worry. I'll be there. " He said, reassuring me. "Thank you, by the way for that. Now he won't try anything." I joked. "He better not." Draco mumbled. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you jealous?" I questioned and smirked. Draco's face turned red. "N-No." "Oh my. Draco Malfoy is jealous!" I teased. "I am not." "You're right, of course you're not, you're being protective towards me." "So?" Draco defended turning even more red. "It's cute that you are. It actually makes me feel...nice." I said, smiling and looking down.
"It shows that you care about me." I mumbled to myself. "I do care about you." I heard Draco say. I looked up and blushed at his words. He smiled at me. "Really?" I questioned. "Yeah." There was a moment of silence but it was quickly broken.
"Well, It's late already, we better get to bed." He said, standing up. "Oh, um yeah. I'll see you tomorrow." I said, walking towards the stairs. "Oh and Margaret." I heard him call, I looked behind me. "Good night." I smiled. "Good night Draco." I replied.
I went up the stairs and entered my room. I changed into my pajamas and went to bed. As I laid on my bed, I stared at the ceiling, thinking about what happened. I went to sleep, smiling.
