Lily's POV
"Yeah, sure" I smiled. I got up and dusted off my clothes. I felt Draco grab my hand and he lead me to a random bookshelf far away from where we were seated. He stopped and looked around to see if anyone was near us. "Are you okay?" Draco asked. I carefully nodded "Y-Yeah. I just got a bit shaken up from the topic of my parents but I'm alright" I lied. I didn't want Draco to worry about me.
"Are you sure? You know I'm always here if you need a shoulder to cry on" He placed his hand on my shoulder and smiled at me. I suddenly broke down into tears. I placed my head on his shoulder and silently sobbed. "It's okay to cry Lily." He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me. "I-I don't know how I feel. I miss my parents even though I never properly knew them. I heard them say I love you to Harry and I before dying." I said through my tears. "I'm confused as well." "What is it?" "It's about something I found. You know how Snape asked Harry about the flowers in our first potions class?" I asked "Yeah, what about it?" Draco asked."In flower language, it meant 'I bitterly regret Lily's death' It's obviously not talking about me so do you think he knew my mother?" I said. "It's going to be alright, Lily. You want to dance to cheer you up?" He smiled at me. For me, it was a bit weird how Draco was really nice to me but really mean to my brother. "It's alright Draco, thanks. Let's go back to Ron" I smiled at him. I walked back to our table, Draco following behind.
"Hey Lily" Ron smiled. I sat down on my chair and smiled back at him. "By the way, It's dinner time. I didn't want to leave the table without you" Ron chuckled "Aww that's nice of you Ron. Let's go?" I looked at Draco and back at Ron with a smile on my face. He stood up and I followed.
We were about to enter the great hall when Ron spoke "Thanks for keeping me company when I studied, Lily" He looked at me and smiled. I noticed he started to slowly lean closer. That was when he was stopped by Draco. "No problem Weasley. Well, we better get to dinner now." Draco said, pulling me away from Ron and towards the Slytherin table.Harry's POV
Ron sat across from me in the great hall. I was the one who gave him the idea of asking my sister to go to the library and study with him. I know I know, that sounds bad but I don't want her around Malfoy. He seemed like a rude guy and my sister is a loving person. He isn't good enough for her, she deserves someone way better. Plus, Ron is my best mate so it's kind of a win-win situation."So? How did It go?" I looked at him and raised my eyebrow. "Awful." He sighed. "Why? Did Malfoy try to do something with her?" I questioned. "He literally did everything. When I tried to flirt with her, he would flirt with her as well." Ron complained.
"You two are so blind, you know that" Hermione interjected. "Why do you say that?" I asked. "Well, it's obvious Malfoy fancies Lily" She said "Yeah, obviously" I said in a kind of 'duh' tone. She looked over at Ron. "Did she show any signs that she fancies him as well?"
"Uhm well none that I noticed of. I did see Malfoy hugging her and comforting her. This might sound mental or something but it seemed like he actually cared" Ron said. "Why would that sound mental, Ron? Isn't that a good thing?" Hermione asked.
"Sorry, I forgot you guys don't know much about this world." Ron chuckled. "Well the Malfoy family aren't the worlds kindest people and to see that one of them actually cares, that's a big deal because they usually don't care about anyone or anything aside from themselves. They are just rich, purebloods who care about power so they wouldn't want their son to look soft" I started to think about it for a moment.
"Hey. What's up with Malfoy and your sister?" Fred, who was sitting next to me, nudged my shoulder and I turned my head to the Slytherin table. I saw Malfoy's arm around my sisters shoulder and she was laughing about something he probably said. I looked at Fred and shrugged. "I don't know mate."
I turned back to Ron. "Did she have any of those memory dreams lately?" I asked him. "Yeah, she did actually but when I asked her what it was about, she looked really sad and Malfoy pulled her out." He sighed. Why didn't she tell me about her memory dreams.
