Chapter 77

Aasha's Pov

"What? You meant to say that Atharv Kashyap is the one behind the threatening calls and he is also involved in illegal businesses?" i asked Dev in shock. 

"Yes" he said caressing my cheeks with his knuckles. 

"Dev, i can't believe this" i said with a frown.

"But its the truth, Aashu. He is wearing the perfect Businessman mask so that he can do some disgusting things" he said clenching his jaw. I placed my hand on his. 

" He sounds very dangerous, Dev.
What you're going to do with him?" i asked him worried.

"Don't worry, Aashu. I already talked with my friend ACP Prathap Varma. We actually started this mission a year before. I am not alone in this mission. Me, Sameer and Prathap had already planned everything. It will just take three or four days" he said increasing my worries.

"Dev, i am afraid what if.. " he cut me off. 

"Relax nothing will happen to me. We can't leave a criminal like him to roam around in this world freely, Aashu. A lot of families and college students are suffering because of his human trafficking and drug business. And he is also importing weapons to terrorists" he said making my heart thump loudly in fear. I gripped his hands tightly.

"No. We should not leave him, Dev. I trust you but at the same time you have to be very careful about your safety" i said. He patted my head with a smile. I hugged him tightly placing my head on his chest. He kissed my hair. Then he pulled me away from him. I looked at him. 

"I want you and Neha to stay in our house for few days until i finish this Athar Kashyap" he said. 

"But i will be with you in the office, right? Then why?" i asked him confused.

"Yes but i just don't want to take any risk in your life, Aashu. Just for  few days stay in our house, okay?" he asked me cupping my face. 

"Okay" i said with a nod. He smiled at me and kissed my forehead.

"Can i tell about this all to Neha?" i asked him. 

"No. Don't tell about this all to anyone. We should not scare everyone in our family. I told about this all to you because i don't want to hide anything from you and I already discussed about this matter with my dad and Chachu" he said tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. I nodded at him with a smile and hugged him snuggling in his warm embrace. We both stayed like this for few minutes.

"Its already late. You should sleep" he said kissing my hair. I hummed in response. He suddenly carried me in his arms making me gasped in surprise. He smiled at me and started to walk towards my room. Then he tucked me inside the comforter sitting beside me. I looked at him with a smile. 

"You too go and sleep" i said. 

"I will after you fell asleep " he said stroking my hair. I smiled at him and closed my eyes. Soon sleep took over me.

When i opened my eyes its already 7 am. I yawned and went to the washroom to do my morning business. I took a hot shower and wore a peach colour salwar. I looked at the time. Its 8.30 am, breakfast time. I went to Neha's room. 

"Hey Good morning, Aasha" she said with a bright smile. I too greeted her and sat on her bed. She is getting ready for her office. I bite my lips recalling Dev's words last night. Then we both went to the dinning hall to have our breakfast. Dev sat beside me smiling at me. I too smile at him. Everyone said Good morning to each other. 

"You look beautiful as always" he wishpered in my ears making me go all red. I concentrated on my plate trying to be normal. 

"Aasha and Neha, you two don't have to go to office for few days" Dev said a few minutes later.
