Timber walked onto her ship; the crew watched as their new captain boarded. The old captain, Tiber's father had passed the ship onto her when he retired. There were whispers and chatter, everyone onboard wondered what a girl was doing on their ship.

Timber was unfazed by all of this, she stopped, "Well what are you all doing standing around?, Get to work all of you, we need her to be sea ready if we are going to leave and sunrise!" she ordered the crew. The crew stared at her and started to laugh, eventually one crew member walked up to her "You think we are going to take order from a girl?, You don't belong on this ship sweetheart, why don't you go find a nice dress shop to waste time in" he laughed. He had just made a grave mistake.

"I'd think you would be smart enough to not insult your captain" Timber replied with laugh. "I'm terribly sorry Captain, it won't happen again" the crew mate stuttered, he turned red with embarrassment and walked back into the crowd of the crew who quickly got to work readying the ship for tomorrows leave, all looking slightly scared. Timber headed to the captain's cabin to unpack. The cabin was large it took up almost the entirety of the front of the ship below deck. Covering one wall was a bookcase filled with all of her favorite books, if you looked close enough you would see a small symbol which, if you pressed would open a door through the bookcase to a safe room which was currently being used as a map room. Back into the main bit the cabin was a large double bed sat in the corner, the frame reached up to the ceiling with curtains hanging from the crossbars. The theme of the cabin was wooden, and gold played metal. There was a trunk tucked under the bed for clothes or other belongings. The window looked out over the decorative bow of the ship, above the figure head that happened to be a snake. The windowsill was wide enough to sit on, Timber had placed some cushions on it so she could read in the evening by the moonlight.

She unpacked and headed back on deck where everyone was rushing around, hoisting the sales and tying the ropes all prepared for sunrise leave which would be in about 10 hours. Timber walked up the steps to the hull and stood behind the wheel of the ship, the crew stopped what they were doing as they saw their captain standing at the wheel. "Listen up! We leave at sunrise!, Firstly, if anyone doubts my ability of being captain of this ship they shall regret it thoroughly, just because I am a woman doesn't mean I lack the skill to kill a man if he insults me, Secondly, our job is to ensure safe passage of the goods from the trading Kingdoms, and finally, We will fight bravely for each other, cause we are pirates" Timber said the last bit with a smile, "WHAT ARE WE?!" one of the crew members shouted, "PIRATES!!" came a chorus of shouts from everyone on the ship including Timber. Everyone dispersed to continue their jobs with a cheery and excited feel about them, something told Timber that this is where she was meant to be.

The sun rose early the next morning, everything wasset so they left the port of Avalon, the kingdom they all called home. Timberclimbed the rig so she was high above the deck and could see everything, shelooked out onto the golden horizon as the sun rise above the sea, How far couldshe go?
