What Happens [Niall Horan]

It was a monday morning and I woke up with my head in my hands due to the headache that I had because of the hangover. I couldn't handle the pain that came with the thought of my parents,after all these years it still hurts,so every once in a while I have a drink just to shut off the pain. I had once heard that pain changes people and it did change me a lot, never in a million years had I thought that I would drink to solve all my problems. I hated people who drink to push the pain away, according to me it was just a stupid and senseless thing to do,but now I understand why they do it.

"Edith,wake up! You have to got to college" my mom interrupted my thoughts.

I hated college and always will. I wasn't one of those people who had no friends,I was the total opposite actually, I guess that's what happens when you have a rich dad.There are some people at college who think I take my dad for granted, some people think that I am one of those rich bitches, if only they took the effort to know me.

I just hate the attention that I get,even after having so many people around me I don't know who to trust, I completely hated the way people acted different around me just to get my attention.

"Can I please skip college today? " I asked even though I knew what her answer was going to be.

"There is no way you can do that,it's your last year at college and you have to focus on keeping your grades up if you want a good job with a decent salary " she said

I sighed and hopped of my bed heading straight for the bathroom to have a shower. I loved having hot water showers, it helps me to get through the hectic day. While the water was heating up I picked up a white crop top with black jeans. Quickly I had a shower and put the clothes on. I glanced at the clock and it read eight thirty, I still had ample amount of time so I decided to talk to mom for a bit.

"Where is dad? " I asked

"He is working at the hospital. " she said with an apologetic look.

My dad was one of those who will work his ass off to give us a good living and sometimes I just miss him a lot, he is always at work and we hardly even talk.

I stormed off the house without even saying goodbye,I know it isn't my mums fault but I just had to get out of the house.

Finally I arrived at college and was greeted by Sarah and Nathan,out of all the people these were the only two that I trusted because they have seen me in my worst times and have still stuck by,they were the only true friend that I had.

"HELLOOO" they both shouted in unison
"Sorry I kinda just zoned out" I said

"So have you heard about this guy at college? I guess his name is Niall,he is soo hottt! You gotta talk to him sometime" she said with excitement.

I saw Nathan fake pouting.

"Relax Nathan nobody will ever be as hot as you" I smirked and he laughed
"The point is that none of you guys are going to talk to him,he seems like trouble,got it?" Nathan said in a serious tone.
"Anything else big brother?"

Nathan is like a brother to us he has seen us cry and he just seems to understand us like nobody else ever could.

We headed inside and unfortunately had to part ways.I headed straight to my Biology class avoiding people,suddenly I bumped into someone.

"Sorry" I said
"Could you please watch where you're going ?"

Who does he even think he is?

I just decided to ignore it,I didn't want to create any drama.

I walked straight into class and took my usual seat at the back. Professor Rodger entered class and started writing something on the board "PROJECT" it read in bold.

Gosh I hated projects because projects meant partners and I preferred to work alone.

"Don't get your hopes up too high,I will be assigning you all partners and you will have to work with them no matter what" he said while distributing some papers which probably contained the project topic.

He called out some names and then I heard him call "Edith and Niall"

I saw him raise his hand,my eyes widened,damn he was the same guy I bumped into,so he is the guy Sarah was talking about.
"We meet again" he said with a stupid smirk on his face.

I cursed under my breath,why do I get such annoying people?

I decided to ignore all his rude comments but he wouldn't stop.

"What is your problem?" I said a bit too loud.

The professor asked us if we had some problem.
"Yes,could I please have my partner changed?" I asked
"I am sorry Edith but there are certain things in your life that you cannot change so instead of resenting them why not accept and make the most of it?" he said

The bell rang and he told us that we had a two months time to submit our projects.These two months are gonna be hell with this guy.
