Sitting in a dark cave using her back pack as a pillow she held the picture of the three of them in her hand. She sighed and rolled over to her side hugging the picture before dozing off to sleep.
They're sitting down in a shadowy yet warm forest opening next to a shallow glittery creek. Anne's watching Marcy play video games and asking questions that are probably annoying her. She responds to some other times she's too distracted to even hear Anne. Marcys game got more intense. "chip me" Marcy said while sticking her tongue out focusing. Anne put a chip in her mouth and leaned on her shoulder. "I missed you so much, you're all I could think about" Marcy picked up her arm and put it around Anne. "we have each other now, i'll never let us be separated again , Anna-banana" she slightly chuckled then leaned her head against Anne's and then went back to her game.
They say on a blue and green checkered blanket. Anne snored along the rhythm of the creek and occasionally woke up when Marcy yelled at her game or did a victory dance but she slept peacefully, she looked like she belonged there. They looked like they fit together perfectly, but from a sky view a piece was missing, this was meant to be a 3 piece puzzle. But dream Anne was just happy to have Marcy back, all to herself in the moment.
Then she woke up, back to the dark fungus filled cave, alone with no leads to where her friends were.
