'Snore...'

"Y/n."

...

"Y/n."

...

"Y/n! Wake up!"

"Huh -?"

It was the morning of day three, and the trio were all dying for a good night's sleep. A demon had attacked them in the middle of the night. Both last night and the night before. Emma, Ray and Y/n were hardly getting any sleep.

(Ray and Y/n, especially were starting to regret staying up late.)

However, the man was extremely lively -

"Maybe it got lost from its pack." he guffawed at the children's faces, earning distasteful glares, "Look on the bright side, at least there was only one of them."

Y/n stared tiredly ahead of her.

'Sleep where you want. Just like your meals, you're on your own for keeping guard,' was what the man had said. We don't know when and from where we could get attacked, and it's the same for him, but...

This man really is something.

The way he hides. How he detects danger. How he deals with the demons. His shooting skills and other abilities... We'll get as good as him! We'll learn and steal all his tricks!

'Shaaa...'

The trio stood alert, their guns held at ready.

Following the swishing sounds, Y/n found herself looking at an extremely hairy and humongous demon, that was busy looking around it on the ground.

She felt a shiver go up her spine -

Thank goodness we're up in the trees...

Y/n collasped onto the ground, panting heavily; whilst Emma sank down to the ground, hugging her knees; Ray on the other hand, leaned on the wall, drawling out a long sigh.

Demons everywhere... Y/n 's eyes fluttered close, so annoying...

"Hey guys," Emma spoke up, holding up what seemed like a trampled-over grape fruit. "Here's our lunch for today... We couldn't really find anything."

Y/n furrowed her brows.

"It looks like it's half-eaten." she pointed out.

"It's not!" Emma instantly defended.

The three escapees then decided that instead of eating that squished-looking grape, they'd have some of the food they brought along with them.

Emma thought back to when Gilda handed her the food. She had objected, but Gilda insisted, saying that it was emergency food, just in case they couldn't find anything to eat on the way.

Her heart warmed at the thought.

Thank you, Gilda, and everyone else.

"Thank you for the food." they said together, before digging in.

Y/n sighed dreamily with delight. How she missed eating bread. She noticed Mister standing in the corner, eating on his own.

Typical, she thought, he's such a loner.

Emma on the other hand, had more important things on her mind than discriminating their guide.

I have 25 bullets left. I'm doing a good job saving them. And according to our coordinates, we're making good progress. I'm slowly getting the hang of running away, too.
