*December *
DESTINY POV
It was a new month. The month of December, Reign and I favorite time of the year because Christmas is new. Decorating the house with Christmas decorations. Putting up the Christmas tree. It was like a winter wonderland in New York. I can't remember the last time I have seen as much snow as I seen in New York. The fireplace burning and the crackling of burning firewood sound throughout the house as the cozy comfort feeling fills throughout house.
I am honestly just happy to not be in November anymore. Everything I went through with Ray, it was really hard nonetheless for me to go through those familiar feelings all over again. It was like I was having Deja Vu or simply reliving something that I had once already gotten over and gotten through. It was very frustrating to say the least. It was another wake up call and slap in the face for me. It's like I was doing so good, taking so many steps forward and then it was like I got dragged and slapped a hundred steps back.
Nonetheless, I got through it. Thank the Universe that Ray and I were only together for four months and not a whole year as I were previously in my past relationship. I don't think I would have taken it very lightly had we made it a year or so in and he did it. I probably would have slapped Ray, called him all types of bitches, Disrespect his own existence and everyone that were involved in creating his existence such as his mother and father. Nigga would have for sure wanted to put a bullet in me.
So that is the bright side of things. It was only Four months. Although time was definitely wasted, I took from the relationship many values and lessons for myself and charged the rest to the game. You win some, you lose some but you live to see another day. I am happy that time has passed and I feel better.
It feels like the time is sweeping past us but also dragging us however, December has been pretty good. I have my little family and that all that matters.
I was in the living room watching 'Home Alone' sitting on the soft plush sectional with the blanket over me as the coziness of the fireplace filled me up with warmth. I heard foot steps running down the stairs and immediately knew it was Reign. "Sisterrrrrrrrr" She dragged calling out for me to answer. "In here." I called out alerting her that I was in the living room.
Reign came into the living room and plopped down on the couch right beside me "Well, since school have been cancelled for the day due to weather. I don't want that to stop us from doing something today." She expressed as she laid her head on my shoulder.
"Like what?" I asked as I laid my head on top of hers.
Reign got quiet for a moment as if she was thinking of things for us to do today.
Her head popped up off my shoulder causing me to move my head quickly. I looked at her confused but Reign face was lighting up like a Kid that have just gotten the best news ever. "I got it!" she mentioned. "Let's go ice Skating!" she suggested.
"Reign where are we going Ice skating at?" I asked. She smacked her lips "Duh, New York City. Winterland. It's perfect." She explained. I nodded my head laughing "Okay." I caved in.
Reign hopped up off the couch "Okay, you call May and Jamie and let them know. I however, have to run to Walmart because I don't think I have Thermals like at all nor gloves come to think about it." she put her hands on her hips as her head was tilted up sideways as she was thinking to herself.
I shook my head laughing "How are you going to suggest Ice skating and you don't even have the necessities for Ice skating." I let out a laugh. Reign sucked her teeth "I just thought about Ice Skating. I didn't think that far through however, it's nothing for me to go to Walmart and get the things I need. Stop by grabbed May and Jamie if they are coming with us. Come back home, get dressed and be out." she explained.
