Jake Shim (ENHYPEN) - Surprise

"Jakeyy~ wake up you big baby"

"Ughh 5 more minutes please"

"Aight come on birthday boy, you're not spending this special day in bed" I grabbed his arm and pulled him. Instead of him getting up, he pulled my arm which made me fall on the bed. He smiled and hugged my waist tightly, placing my body on the empty space next to him.

"Let's just stay like this the whole day. We can watch disney, bake together, maybe an indoor photoshoot, what do you say?" I rolled my eyes and chuckled. I pecked his lips and was about to get up, but he pulled me in a long passionate kiss. It's been a while since we've had moments like this. We were always busy, both Jake and I.

He was always busy with his idol life and I was busy with my studies. Being a med student is definitely not easy for me and so is idol life for Jake. But we somehow managed to stay together for 3 years with all sorts of things trying to tear us apart.

After we pulled away from the kiss, I got up and dragged his body off the bed. "OUCH!" He fell on the floor and I just laughed at him.

"Get up, you said you were going to grab morning breakfast with Jay and Hoon" He groaned and got up, going to the bathroom to clean himself up. I watched his figure as it disappeared from my sight and immediately grabbed my phone.

I dialed a number and waited for the person o  the other end to pick up. "Hoon! He's in the shower, are the others ready?"

"We're hiding near the emergency stairs. Can we go in now?"

"Yea, but be quick, he might finish soon"

"Cool, see you" He ended the phone call as I got up and walked towards the door. Carefully opening it and scanning the hallway. I spotted the boys coming and signalled them to quickly come. Once they got in, I pushed them to an empty room– supposedly our mini theater+library room but we didn't have the time to shop for furniture. Anyway back to the situation– I pushed them to an empty room and turned off the lights. I made a shush gesture with my finger and closed the door.

Just in time, Jake finished his shower and was ready to go but instead, he clinged onto me like a koala.  "Jake.."

"I can just cancel and stay you know" He pouted and hugged me tighter

"Jake! They're already outside, you can't cancel" I scolded

"Finee, but can we cuddle after this?" I chuckled and pecked his lips, pushing him out the door. "You'll get all the hugs kisses you want love, have fun with Jay and Sunghoon"

He lets go of the hug and pecked my lips before waving goodbye. Once I no longer see his figure, I shut the door and run to the empty room I left the boys in.

"You two are ridiculous" Jungwon said. I rolled my eyes and replied, "It's called love kid, deal with it"

"Okay! Let's hurry and decorate. They will probably be back in an hour so let's make this quick! Sunoo and Jungwon, you two decorate the room, Heeseung and I will do the cake decorating, and Ni-ki you keep watch and do the vlog thing the staffs asked you to do. Quick quick! Let's not waste another second" I clap my hands and shooed them away.

Moments later~

"Alright so here we have Heeseung and the birthday boy's girlfriend, Y/n, please say hi to the camera" I looked and waved my hand at the camera before turning my attention back to the cake in front of me

"She's really focused haha. Engene, don't you think Jake is lucky to have a girlfriend like Y/n? She planned all this by herself just for her boyfriend" Heeseung nudged my shoulder and I just laughed.

"Ooh~ Jay just texted me saying they're on their way here, 10 minutes max" Ni-ki announced and I panicked. I quickly run to the empty room earlier and the decorations are perfectly set. Alright, decorations done, cake is also done. Now all we do is wait.

10 minutes seemed to fly by quickly. I am now standing in the corner of the room, patiently waiting for Jake with his cake in my hands.

"Y/n– woah, why is it dark?" I shushed the boys as I heard Jake's voice coming from the front door. I could see the lights in the living room turn on.

"Y/n? Are you there?" I then hear the sounds of doors being opened and closed. "Y/n?" Just then– I saw a shadow standing in front of the door to the empty room. The door slowly opened and revealed a confused looking Jake.

"One, two, three!" By Jungwon's cue, we started singing Happy Birthday as I got closer to Jake with the cake in my hands.

"Happy Birthday our Jakey.. happy birthday to you!!" He looked flustered and kept on covering his face after noticing the camera Ni-ki is holding. Heeseung then puts the birthday hat on Jake's head

"Make a wish, love" I said and Jake clasped his hands together and closed his eyes for a brief moment before blowing the candles. The boys then clapped their hand and turn the lights on as I handed the cake to Jake.

"Now, group photo!" I grabbed the camera from the Ni-ki and put it on the floor, angling it so the boys are all visible. I pulled out my phone and took a picture of them. "Now, the couple!"

Sunoo pulled me towards Jake and basically threw my body to Jake's. Jake looked at me with happy eyes and kissed me. I widened my eyes. This is the first time we kissed in front of the camera.

"Woohoo! Engenes, you just witnessed Jake kissing his beloved girlfriend on camera!" Jay said which made me chuckle.

"Can't we just take a proper picture without kissing, kids are going to see this too y'know!" I rolled my eyes at Sunghoon. I hugged Jake's waist, careful not to knock off the cake off his hands.

"Alright, one, two, and.. three! There we go, a photo of the lovely couple"

"Jake, is there anything you would like to say to Engenes?" Sunoo then gets the camera close to Jake, waiting for him to say something as a closing

"Uhm– I want to say thank you to Y/n and the members for this wonderful surprise. Thank you to Engenes for you never ending support for Enhypen. I'm going to enjoy my birthday with Y/n and the members. Love you all!" Ni-ki then got in front of then camera and did his iconic "kkeut" hand gesture.

I then felt a hand on my waist and a peck on my cheek "Thank you for the surprise, love. Now can we get rid of these people and cuddle?"

"We heard that!"

"You were supposed to!"

I chuckled and nodded "Sure, let's cuddle after this"
