"hello, jongho! i am so sorry that i was late," jongho has been waiting for him like ten minutes?
yeah, maybe. but jongho didn't care, "it's okay." i don't know what was possessing you, jongho.
it was a comfortable silence before yeosang began to talk, "how are you today?"
"i'm just the usual. how about you?"
"i'm great! so why do you want us to meet here?" ah, i forgot. jongho asked yeosang if they can meet beside the river. don't ask me which river, i know nothing.
"i have something to tell you," jongho stared at yeosang face.
"actually, me too!" he said happily.
"you can go first," he smiled, not knowing what was coming for him.
"you remember my crush, right? his name is soobin. he asked me out for dates last week, and now he's not my crush anymore. he is my boyfriend!"
jongho could feel the pain, deep in his heart. it was something very sharp, stabbed very deep in his heart.
"congratulations! i am happy for you," he congratulated the pretty boy, with a fake smile.
"thank you, jongho. it's your turn!"
"i am your secret admirer," he said with a smile, showing his teeth, even if his smile was fake.
yeosang was kinda shocked, "but why though?"
"i was very shy to talk with you face to face, i wanted to be your friend. but then we become closer, but i didn't stop giving you the free snacks. because you were very happy about it," he explained. wanted to be friends, my toes.
"thank you so much! now you don't have to give it anonymously! i really appreciate your efforts!" he hugged the boy.
"you're welcome," he mumbled as he hugged him back.
jongho didn't want to confess. he didn't want their friendship became awkward.
"i need to go now. i have a date with soobin. see you tomorrow?"
"yeah, see you tomorrow," after yeosang said goodbye to him, his tears started to fall down.
he watched the scenery, with teary eyes. asudden, someone sat beside him, on the bench. jongho wiped his tears, not wanting the person to see him crying.
"i got rejected by my own crush. it was hurt, of course. but we can do nothing with it, love can't be force. it's depends on destiny. want or not, we must accept it, for perhaps there will be something better waiting for us." the stranger said.
"by the way my name's yeonjun," he took out his right hand, jongho accepted it and shook their hands.
"mine is jongho. if you're comfortable, can i know who's your crush?" jongho asked out of curiosity.
"choi soobin," wow, what a plot twist. "yeosang's boyfriend. i got rejected by him earlier, he said that he wanted to focus on studying. after that, i saw him confessing to yeosang."
"it must be hard for you. but he shouldn't lie to you, i'm so sorry."
"it's okay. i can move on from him."
jongho didn't have the chance to confess, and yeonjun got rejected. now they're emo buddies.
take your time, don't rush yourself. but if you're taking too long, you might lose the chance. it's worth a try, better than nothing. atleast you finally got to let out your feelings.
