LOST and FOUND...

ch 2:Losing someone

"Tu parles anglais?",I asked the receptionist as she picked out our room key and handed it to us.

"Je habite à Spain.Je parle espagnol et français.Je suis désolé.Je ne parle pas anglais".She smiled.

I smiled back and got the room keys.
To be honest,I didn't understand anything what she said right now!All I could hear was the sound of air as her lips curved up and down.

I sat for a while on the sofa which spread itself near it's dear polished pillar.The lobby seemed to be busy but relaxed at the same time.It smelled fresh and clean.I could see the staffs walking in a hurry to collect the bags and luggages of the customers.
As the doors kept swirling and swirling,customers rushed in to escape the heat of the glowing gold summer sun.

Kate brushed the sweat off her forehead as she swirled through the doors.
"We have found the college.We went to check if the given information was right",Kate sank into the sofa,beside me.

"This girl needs thousands to help her with her mission",Mrs.Rose sighed.

"Thank you for helping me out,mam.I have found my father,I'll take care of it now",I tried to smile.

"Then that's it.I've gotta go visit Shisaniya and enquire about her situation.Kate will be here with you-",she moved closer to me and her face was inches away from mine.Seeing her face so close is super scary.With that big eyes that were aggressively rolling side to side and the nose releasing heavy breaths in anger and the gritted teeth that sat right inside that little mouth,waiting to devour me only said one thing.
"You've now found your parents.You gotta finish the mission quickly",she stomped out of the hotel.

"She's gone now!Lets get to our room!",Kate got up fixing her pony.

"Can't she be more nice to us?",I wore my sling bag and followed Kate up the stairs.

"Have you ever seen being nice to someone?"

"Hmmm,no",I laughed dryly.

"Forget it.This is our first day in Paris.The city of love-",she threw herself in bed as her hands reached the sky.

"We have a lot to do here.Espescially you,Ann ", she winked.

"City of love?Is there a city built for love?This is my first time hearing it",I exclaimed.

"Well it'd be a surprise if you said you knew it",she teased me.
"We are also someone in this planet just like the others.Gather up some knowledge,girl",she tossed her phone towards me.

"What's this?",she exclaimed.

"What happened?",my eyes fell on the television that made its place beside the window.

"Isn't that Mary?",I went closer to have a look as I read the message that was flowing below.
It went on like..."A girl and a boy found dead near the subway on MainStreet,Redstone fields.It seems like a murder..."

"A murder?",I held my chest,the heartbeats echoed on my ears as I started breathing heavily.
Kate looked terrified.

"It looks like Mary!",I shouted.

"It is Mary!",Kate stomped across the room back and forth.

"Why is she dead?Who killed her?And whose that boy with her?",I held my head that was spinning with terrible thoughts.

"I doubt that.Who might have wanted to kill that poor girl.She's just fifteen and the boy,it's her-"she paused for a moment,"Boyfriend.His name is Mateo".

"Boyfriend?Seriously?She's just fifteen?"I looked at her in shock.

"So what?",she asked casually.

"That's against the rules?We are not allowed to date anyone!We are not supposed to fall in love!Our purposes are different!",I shouted.

"Rules?-",she looked at me,with fire burning in her eyes."Stupid rules!Who are they to tell us not to date?!"

"If our father comes to know of this!You know what will happen next,right?"My eyes were about to start leaking.

"Everything would be fine if you keep your mouth zipped up!",she held my shoulders and stared into my eyes.
I felt weak!Even Kate by my side,I still felt weak.

"Look,Hannah.I agree that our father was the one who made us.But why did he make us?Just to make someone fall in love?They could be our parents,but they didn't say they wanted a child!They didn't say that I want this girl or boy as my life partner.It was all decided by him without their knowledge.He stole their gene cells and created us.Did we ask that we want to be created?No!Why did he do this to us?When everyone else in the world could live long and enjoy their life,they trapped us inside that orphanage only to let us go when we were capable enough to make our parents fall in love!Isn't this stupid?"

A drop of tears fell from her emerald eyes.I've never seen her cry!The Kate I knew was a strong girl lighting up everyone with her confidence.There was a fear in her voice!

" You know why I'm warning you not to date anyone.We should not put the lifes of others in danger,especially the ones you love!",a lump rose in my throat.

She landed on the bed heavily.I held her hand and sat next to her.
It was always Mary,Kate and myself.We were always together so others in the orphanage named us "The Charlie's Angels".
But,just a month ago did Mary find that her mom was in United States.So,she flew to US with her caretaker,Mr.Kellson.He is a nice man.He has been working for our father for many years,even before we were all born.
It's been a month long since I saw her and a last thing me and Kate has to hear about her is her murder being flashed around in the screens everywhere.

"Who did this to her?She's just a kid",she covered her face with her palms and sniffed as I sat beside her.
Everything started to blur out because of the tears that refused to flow down.

I want to fall in love too!So that even after I die,I'll still live in some hearts!
I am not afraid to die;my only fear is being forgotten even before I get the chance to remember someone who I've fallen in love with!

I've always felt out of place.I don't fit in with natural humans.
And this time I ask myself,Am I lost or was I never found?
Will love come find me too?
Or if I ever love someone,will I lose them like how Mary did?
