Idiot Move

Robert's POV

"Wait! you forg-" before I could even finish my sentence she was out the door "- your phone.." I sigh putting my head in my hands

How could you be such an idiot Robert? Seriously. Kissing her?! What a dumb move you doofus...

I get up from the table and pay the barista leaving her a generous tip. I grab Lily's phone and head to my car. I'll just give it to her tomorrow in class I guess.

-Time Skip-

I arrive home and set my briefcase along with Lily's phone on the countertop. I head over to my couch and sit down turning on the tv.

I sigh. Well today was pretty weird I suppose. At least I got to talk to her outside of school. Hopefully she doesn't find our kiss weird and try to avoid me. I don't know how it happened. It just did. It was quick but it felt like it had lasted forever. But seriously what was that. I couldn't have feelings for a student, right?

I decide to drop it and just order some pizza because I was too tired to make me some dinner.

I lay on the couch while I wait for my pizza to come and decide to watch Sherlock Holmes

About 30 minutes into the movie my pizza came. It was about 10pm and I decided to quickly eat and take a shower so I could go to bed.

I had a long day tomorrow. I had two classes to teach, one at 12pm and one at 3:30pm. They both lasted about 2 hours and a half. I just knew that tomorrow was going to be a bit awkward no matter how much I tried to tell myself it wouldn't be.

The movie ended and I got up to shower. By the time I was done I got into bed and just fell asleep. I was quite exhausted.

-Next Day-

*Beep Beep Beep*

"GOD! SOMEONE TURN OF THAT HORRENDOUS SOUND!" I groaned out putting the pillow over my face

The alarm rang for another ten seconds before I threw my pillow at it knocking it on the floor...

I sit on the edge of my bed staring at the clock on the floor.

"Seriously?! It's only 8:30 am!" I allow myself to fall back on the bed my legs still hanging over the edge of the bed.

I fall asleep for another 30 minutes waking up at 9. This time I mentally prepare myself to see Lily later and take this time to have some breakfast.

blah blah blah I go through my daily morning routine and by the time I'm done and ready to leave it's 11am. This gives me enough time to get to school in 20 minutes and prepare my class for the day.

-At School-

The class begins to fill with students but Lily isn't anywhere to be seen. A couple of minutes pass and she doesn't walk in so I decided to commence my class.

"Good Afternoon class, Hope you all got a good nights sleep last night! Please take out your notebooks and textbooks. Turn to page 189 and begin to do questions 23 & 39. Make sure you show your work because two of you will be coming up to the board to show and explain how you got your answer then I will begin my lesson. Now start you have 10 minutes."

The 10 minutes are up and Lily has still not come into class. I continue with what I'm doing.
"Kayla and Jacob please come up to the board a write your answers whilst coming up with a brief explanation on how you got your answer"

About another 10 minutes pass and I tell them to go back to their seats. This time as Kayla and Jacob walk to their seats I hear the classroom door open and it's her. My eyes widened and I couldn't help but stare. For just a second I forgot I was teaching a classroom full of students.

I watch her walk up to yesterday's seat both of us attempting to avoid eye contact...but then my eyes lock with hers and for a split second it feels like the world has come to a halt and it's only me and her. She looks back down at her books and I snap out of my daydream continuing my lesson.
