For centuries the vampires and the werewolves have been butting heads with each other. They never were able to get along and caused chaos amongst the towns. In the beginning it was about fighting for land but over the years it has gotten worse and now they both kill for blood.

Werewolves, also known as shapeshifters, lived peacefully by forming packs and vampires by creating clans. Years ago both creatures made a truce in which they would try to coexist peacefully amongst the humans and in turn werewolves and vampires are NEVER to love with one another.

This law was obeyed and went on for quite a few years. Slowly all the fights amongst the shapeshifter and vampires subsided and no fights broke out . That is...until one fateful year. Everything changed when the Midnight pack arrived into the new town.

Everyone in the town was in awe of the new family that just moved into the mansion. The place was recently built over the burnt ashes of a book store that disintegrated because of a fire that broke out in one of its upper floors. No one knows how or who started the fire but it killed 7 people in the process. Eerily the family consists of 7 members that moved in only a day after the astonishing all black mansion was built. What people in the town liked to gossip over a lot was that each of the family members were registered under the last name "Night" but didn't look to be related to each other, not blood related at least. There is also allegations going around that some of the members in the family are attracted to one another.

Even so, the towns people welcomed them with open arms and this is because the head of the family who is only 25 years old, Johnny Night, is always involved in social gatherings and so far is very proactive in the community. The three youngest are known to be very popular in their high school and the other 3 in college are said to be very knowledgeable and be some of the smartest students teachers ever had. This was such a perfect family that some are skeptical and tend to wonder what secrets they might have hidden behind closed doors..

"Johnny!! Mark Hyung won't let me ride with my friend to school!" Haechan wined, clinging onto Johnny's arm.

Johnny was in the middle of pouring a glass of orange juice and because Haechan clung onto him, a bit of the juice spilled onto the countertop.

"Haechan!" Yuta warned in a harsh tone.

The shocked younger, realizing his mistake, let go of Johnny. Earning a glare from the red haired Hyung, he sulkingly went to take a seat next to Yuta at the table. Snatching a piece of toast off the plate, he ate it in silence. Johnny smiled at the both, finding it cute how haechan would listen to Yuta.

A sleepy Taeyong walked through the doorfame rubbing his eye. He took a seat at the round table and blinked a few times. Then he stared blankly at his empty glass cup and yawned. Jaehyun came from behind and pulled out the chair from beside Taeyong and sat down. With his right hand he dug the fork into the eggs and used his other hand to prop open a book and ate while reading.

Jungwoo and Mark came through the door and Jungwoo was still fixing the cuffs on his shirt while Mark was complaining to him.

"We literally have a limo it's so stupid."

"I just want to go with my friends in the morning! Is there such a harm in that?" Haechan argued, knowing that Mark was talking about him.

"Yes! Do you even understand how dangerous it is? We're fucking shapeshifters Donghyuck."

"Language." Johnny interjected.

"What if they're from rivaling pacts or even worse, vampires. What are you going to do then if they decide to go and kidnap you?" Mark pulled out a chair and sat beside Haechan.

"But my friends are human!" Haechan abruptly stood up from his chair and protested.

"Yeah but you don't know that for sure. Haechan sit down." Taeyong monotonously ordered and the younger immediately did what was told.

Haechan was now sitting at the table pouting and Mark reached out to rub the nape of the younger's neck to calm him down. Taeyong lifted his glass cup in the air and Johnny took it from above and filled it with orange juice. Haechan squirmed at mark's touched still bothered and annoyed with the older but quickly gave up when he realized that what Mark was doing did in fact make him feel better.

"The two of you better hurry up and eat and all 3 of you-" Johnny pointed to each highschooler, "head to the limo right after." He walked up behind Yuta and Taeyong and placed his hands on both their shoulders. "I heard from the neighbors that college students are on break." He smiled at them as he took a tighter grip and the younger's whined in response. "I have a meeting with the elders at 7. Anyone want to go to the cathedral with me later today?"

Yuta raised his hand a slightly.

"Oh and I didn't mention but it's also a 6 hour drive there so we might have to stay overnight at a hotel, anyone willing?"

Yuta slowly lowered his hand.

"Sure." Jaehyun set down his book and turned  to look at Johnny.

Once Johnny realized who was talking they both glared at each other. The room was getting heavier as everyone felt the tension in the air. Johnny and Jaehyun have been having  a grudge against each other since way back then. None of the other pack members really know why but nobody really talks about it. Instead of resolving their problems Johnny and Jaehyun tend to just ignore each other and only converse when other members are around. Jaehyun agreeing to go alone with Jaehyun and for a whole night poses a weird action for them all, and the youngers looked around seemingly nervous of what the outcome would be when they came back in the morning.

"Cool." Johnny threw up the car keys. The younger caught them and slid it into his back pocket. "You'll be driving."
