As I stepped -more like fell- out of the locker, I started to look around.

While I was investigating, I suddenly heard rattling from the locker next to the one I woke up in. 'Oh no, I hope it's not some violent-' My train of thought was interrupted by a small girly boy with a witch's hat falling on top of me. "Ah, s-sorry-" "It's alright" I replied to him with a smile. "My name is Kaede Akamatsu, I'm the ultimate pianist, nice to meet you!" *Insert intro screen* He then mumbled something I couldn't hear. "What was that?" "'m Shuichi-" That's all I could hear before it became mumbles again. "So your name is Shuichi?" He nodded. 'Well, I can tell he's either not social or is just really tired, or both, which is understandable,' "We should probably look around!" I was startled since he suddenly seemed like a whole new person. "You're right! Let's look around!"

*After the whole exisal and announcement of the killing game thing*

I stood there, totally shocked, but also with newfound determination. "Alright guys, let's investigate! We can share our findings afterword." "..." Everyone started filling out of the gym until it was only Shuichi and I. "Uh.. Hey, Kaede, right?" "Ah, oh yep, that's me! What's up?" "How are you so confident?" Me, startled by the straightforward question, hesitated for a moment before answering. "Uh, I don't really know how to answer that, but I guess I just like making people happy, and I try to be confident so I can do that, that's all.." "Oh, yeah, I can relate! I have to perform all the time, so I try making people happy too!" "Oh, I just realized that I don't know your talent.." "Oh, I'm the ultimate mage!" "..." "Ahhh, I'm sorryyyy!" "W-what-" "I'm just stuck in a fantasyyyyyy!" He ran off as he said that. 'Wha- That makes sense though, after all, he carries around that staff, and he has that witch hat...' After a bit of thinking, I finally walked out of the room. 'Okay, so I need to investiga-' Suddenly, a monitor on the wall turned on. "Alrighty kids, it is now 10pm, good luck on your 1st night, sleep tight, and don't let the bed bugs bite!~" Then, the monitor turned off. "Ugh, that jerk!" "Huh? Oh, Shuichi! Who's a jerk?" "That Kokichi! He said my talent was stupid, and I even told him my real one! Jeez.." "Real one?" "Yeah, what I told you..." "Hm?" "That wasn't my real talent, but I'm sure you figured that out already, besides, the ultimate mage is a stupid title to have, even the ultimate magician sounds dumb-" "I assume the ultimate magician is your real talent?" "Yep, anyways, we should get to our dorms now." "Oh, about that... I don't know where they are" "... YOU DON'T KNOW!? HAVEN'T YOU BEEN INVESTIGATING!?" "Ah, sorry, I just started not too long ago." "Welp, fine, I'll show you the way"

*The next morning*

I walked into the dining hall (after finding it) and sat down next to a guy with his jacket not on right, I think his name was Kaito. I looked around, and I didn't see Shuichi, but I decided to put it off since he could just be late. After awhile I started getting worried though. People were already finishing their food, and he still hadn't shown up. "Hey, I'm going to go check on Shuichi!" "Alright, be careful!" Kaito yelled to me as I practically ran out of the dining hall. Once I got to the dorm building, I went inside and looked around for Shuichi's dorm. Once I found it, I knocked. "Hey! It's me, Kaede!" He still didn't answer. "I'm coming in-" I screamed at what I saw.

I saw him in the middle of the room, hanging there. I just stood in shock. After I composed myself enough, I ran to the dining hall. "Guys!" I stood in the entrance, trying to catch my breath. The only people still there were Kirumi, Kaito, and Maki. "What's going on?!" Kaito basically yelled that, then ran over to calm me down. "He- He's dead-" I broke down as I thought about his body. "Who's dead?!" Maki asked that. "Shuichi-" I look up with tears in my eyes.

Heya! So this was supposed to be fluff... well that didn't quite work did it..? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed either way, and I'm really proud of how this turned out. I've been thinking about Shuichi as the ultimate magician, and I found it cute, that was actually my inspiration for making this book in the first place. Besides, I've had so many other ideas for talentswaps. Anyways, I'll stop now, byeonara!
