Chapter 3: Leave or Stay?

"Hello! Good job for everyone who made it out of the first game! 200 players have died. Which means 256 people are left." The board with 456 people went down to 256 people. Then money started adding up to 1,680,000 yen. "You now have 1,680,000 yen!" The announcement went off.

The guards came back into the room. "LET US OUT!" Someone yelled. "We can't." Said the guard in the square mask. "You all signed a paper on play the game. If you don't want to participate anymore in the games you will be eliminated." The square guard explained. "THAT'S NOT FAIR! LET US OUT!" Another person said.

One of the triangle guards shot their gun in the air. "If you don't want to participate anymore you will be eliminated. You signed a paper with your signature, so it's your choice." The square guard said seriously. "On rule 3 it said if people want to leave they will have to take a vote!" A guy said. But this guy was kind of small, had black hair and his eyes seemed to be closed.

The guard took a moment to think. "You're right. But if the majority of people want to stay you will all have to stay but if more people would like to leave you all will be sent back, and out of the game." The square guard explained.

Atsushi looked up at Dazai. Atsushi saw Dazai with a serious expression on his face like he was thinking about what he wanted.

One of the guards came out with a small black moveable table with two buttons, one green with a circle, the other button was a red button with an X. "The vote will now begin. Once you are done making your decision you will go on the other side of the line." The guard explained.

Atsushi was the first one to vote, he looked at both buttons and took a second to choose. He needed the money, but it was too risky to get the money. He reached his hand over to the red button then changed it to the green.

Atsushi made his way to the other side of the line. A bunch of people went then it looked like the guy who called out the voting rule came up, he picked to leave. So far the majority of the vote was to leave.

Then the small ginger from earlier took his hands out of his pocket and reached over to the green button. Things started to even out on the vote, but the final person was Dazai. What was he gonna choose? He tapped the button, and Atsushi couldn't quite see what he pressed. He looked up at the board and saw that Dazai picked to leave. There was a bunch of groans and a lot of cheering that everyone got to finally go home.

"Well it was fun playing with you friend." Dazai said.

"Yea I guess..." Atsushi said.

Later that night Atsushi got thrown out of the van with white boxers, a white blind fold, and a white rope that tied his hands behind his back. Someone else got thrown out of the van too.

"H-hello?! Anyone there?! Please help!" Atsushi was freaking out, it was freezing outside and he didn't know if anyone else was there to help him.

"Shut the fuck up! Just calm down! Take the tie off my hands." A person called out.

Atsushi used his teeth to take the rope off the person who had been right next to them. The person got up and took off their blind fold and put their clothes off and started to leave. When Atsushi heard those footsteps walk away he freaked the fuck out.

"W-wait! Don't go please! Please help me!" Atsushi begged.

"Fine!" The guy said. They took off Atsushi's blindfold. The person was the small ginger from the green light red light game. "Hold still dumbass!" The ginger said annoyed. He took off the rope on Atsushi's hands. He got up and walked away. "T-thank you so much sir!" Atsushi said. But the ginger still continued walking away.

Later that night Atsushi got back home to his crappy apartment. For once he was happy that he was back. He was so relieved that he didn't have to worry about dying, but there was another thing he almost forgot about. He had to worry about getting a job and paying for his rent. He decided to go to bed, and go to the police tomorrow to tell them all about what happened.
