Kaeya was sitting in his office doing some paperwork as he sighed looking out the window. "It sure is raining heavily" suddenly his attention turns towards the frantic knocking on his office door.
"Come on in," he says, turning his attention towards the door, the door creaks open and there he sees a drenched (y/n) shivering as he makes his way into the office.
Kaeya stands up abruptly rushing towards his side, "Oh my god what happened to you (y/n)?"
The (h/c) turns their head towards kaeya, their (e/c) color hues show damage, loss, and sadness.
"Diluc... threw in the papers."
Kaeya's face morphed into one of intense shock, how could Diluc even do so. You had left your hometown, Liyue for him. You had sacrificed your relationship with your parents for this,
for kaeya you were like a parent to comfort him and make him feel safe and make him realize there is a choice that he could choose and then Diluc just threw in the papers?
Kaeya puts his coat around you then summoned his sword and stormed out of his office, you follow him frantically,
"Kaeya where are you going?" you ask him, Lisa and Jean also come out of their offices in the hallway, Klee hides behind Jean's leg.
"To make my fool of a brother understand how stupid he is," He says before leaving the office, you try to follow him but your leg collapse. Jean and Lisa rush towards our side as Klee looks at you with a scared expression.
"Dear, what even happened?" Lisa asks hugging your gently, but as soon as you try to speak, tears well up in your eyes as you start to cry.
When was even the last time you felt this warmth like that of a parent?
"Shh dear, it's alright..." Lisa whispers comforting you,
Jean reappears with a Towel and a pair of fresh clothes,
"You can tell us what happened after you clean up okay?" Jean says gently, you nod back in return
"And I'll make some tea for you then okay your favorite honey tea so cheer up and don't cry," Lisa says gently pinching your cheek
[Now over to Diluc and Kaeya]
Diluc just looks at the papers with no emotion,
His heart just felt unbearably empty, it felt like he lost piece for himself. He then suddenly slumps into the couch behind him.
Suddenly he starts remembering all his memories of you,
How he had met you at night on the balcony on Wangshu Inn, singing a mysteriously beautiful song and how you disappeared as fast as you were found by him. How he had later found you at a flower shop selling the most beautiful flowers,
How he had proposed to you in guili plains between the Glaze lilies, The first time you came to Mondstadt, and how excited you just were to experience the City of freedom.
Out of all his memories, the one thing he remembers the best is your smile,
Whenever you would smile like this he indeed felt blessed, but he just now wanted to divorce you because you were just comforting kaeya.
Guilt started to eat him up slowly from the inside as tears welled up in his eyes,
he didn't want to be away from you, nobody could replace the happiness and comfort you had brought in his life and how you had made him give a reason to live happily in life.
Diluc then storms out of his mansion in search of you, just exiting Springvale, he is met up by Kaeya who looks at him disgusted,
"You made a big mistake Diluc, do you know how (y/n) came to me? All drenched, it looked like they kept crying in the rain for a long time"
Diluc showed no response allowing Kaeya to continue on
"(Y/n) has selflessly sacrificed himself more than you ever could, for me he is like a parent, I'm not saying that Master Crepus didn't do anything for me but after the loss of my second father, He took it upon himself to make me feel safe and not like I was a tool for Kanrei'ah"
Ah yes, Diluc had nothing else to say but ask for forgiveness,
"I'm sorry Kaeya I didn't let you apologize, But right now I have to make amends" DIluc then starts to walk towards Mondstatd.
"Apologise like you mean it you Idiot, (y/n) is badly hurt by your actions"

"I see" Lisa looks worriedly at Jean who has a Stern look on her face
It sure shocked them with the actions he had one, but then Jean gets up from her chair before kneeling down in front of you, letting your hands nestle in hers,
"I know Master Diluc, even though what he has done is unbearable, I'm sure he has realized it. You really don't want this do you"
Of course, you don't want this, you want him to be beside you till you become old men, maybe even have a child, tears well up as they escape the corners of your eyes,
Suddenly you felt the urge to see him,
"Miss Jean, Miss Lisa, I...I need to go" You leave the room in a hurry as you get outside the Knights Headquarters, you just wanted to see Diluc.
Running on the streets of Mondstatd, you reach the entrance. You see diluc just arriving on the other end of the bridge you run towards him he stretches his hands out for an embrace as he hugs you.
Your tears flow out of our eyes and they can't be stopped anymore. Diluc hugs you whispering sweet words and now promising to never leave you.
