Chapter 4
I stood there dumbfounded. This is my first day at school, goddammit! Why is everyone acting as if they know me?
Then Zac burst out laughing.
"Oh my god, you should've seen the look on your face! That was a lame quote by the way, and CMON! It's your first day of school, I'm not going to throw myself, and especially out of all people, you!" said Zac.
I was confused, and hurt. When he told me that lame quote he looked so sincere, but now his eyes were cold and closed off. I quickly regained my composure, walked up to him, slapped him, and walked towards the gym.

"Mom, Adeline, I'm home!"
I yelled but no one answered. My sister was homeschooled, so I was confused as to why she wasn't home.
"Claire, come over to my room"
yelled Adeline. Weird, she never wanted me to go into her room.
I walked up to her room and saw her laying on her bed with her laptop in front of her.
"Josh messaged me"
Suddenly I felt dizzy. I sat on her bed. So many questions passed through my head. Why would Josh my ex-boyfriend, who lives in Cali, message my fifteen year old sister.
"He-he s-says hi"
Oh no. My sisters stuttering only came back when she was really nervous and that didn't lead to good things.
"Adi, go take a nap, I'll message him on my phone, mkay?"
"Okay Claire"
