New House, New Start

Chapter 1
I walked into my new lilac room in Oregon. It was spacious and it looked out into a small beach that was surrounded by a forest.

I set my bags down and walked into my bathroom. I looked into my mirror and immediately regretted it. I looked like I had been dragged from a truck. My blonde-hazel ombré hair was in a not even stylish messy bun, I had bags under my coffee-less hazel eyes and my slightly tanned skin was all sticky. I decided to put on a muscle tank, Victoria Secret yoga pants and just reapplied some of my mascara.

I walked downstairs to see my mom on her phone next to my sister on our newly unpacked couch. I plop myself down and go on my phone seeing if any of my friends have texted me. Right as I unlock my phone the door rings. I let out a groan as I saw no one else was going to get it. I opened the door and was immediately greeted by a girl my age who looked very pretty. I looked down at my clothes and I felt my cheeks blush in embarrassment.

"Don't worry, I only got dressed to come over here" joked the girl.

How did she....?

"Oh oops! Well my name is Madeline or Maddy for short" she said smiling.

"Oh um, I'm Claire" I said shyly.

"You are new right? Did you just move ? Oh my god! This is so cool! We are gonna become best friends and wow! Your gorgeous even if you didn't try! We are so gonna kick the bitches at my school well now our cuz you are g-" She was caught off her rambling by a hand put over her mouth.
"Sorry, eh, she um tends to ramble a lot" said the hand nervously. I looked up to see who the hand belong too and was caught by some breathtaking blue eyes. The hand belong to very good looking guy who also seemed my age yet was half a head taller than me. He had slightly tanned skin (not like my Cali permanent tan but more like I went to the beach recently and got this) and perfectly tousled brown hair. The guy blushed when he noticed me looking at him and immediately looked away from me. I hadn't realized he was checking me out. I blushed at the thought.
"Well, Claire, this is my twin brother Tyler. Tyler this is my new friend Claire." Maddy introduced us.
"Um hi Claire," said Tyler still not looking at me directly in the eyes but everywhere else in my body. "You um, you just moved right? And I'm guessing you are going to Darkwood High? Do you need a ride? I can give you one if you don't mind unless you al-" Once again the person taking to me was cut off by a hand
"And he tends to ramble all the time" said Maddy. "So um, we are going to get going. See you tomorrow ! Oh wait give me your phone number so I can text you!"
I gave her my number and then they left. I walked back inside and realized my sister and mom weren't in the living room anymore. Deciding to go to bed early I headed to my room.

After I finished changing and unpacking I checked my phone. I had three new text messages

My heart fluttered at the thought of him texting me

I sighed and flopped into bed, dreaming of tomorrow

So what do you think about the first chapter? Boring? Yeah I know but the next chapter is a lot more interesting ....!
