20 Minutes Later

Outside the castle gates, Aqua took a moment to cast her gaze over the flower meadows in the distance stretching out to meet the mountains peaks lining the horizon. Contrasting light and shadow across the landscape in the new day sun, she had to admit it made for a truly breathtaking scene. Feeling inspired, she decided to try something. 'Might as well practice some basic spells while I'm not actually working' she thought.

Summoning Rainfell to her right hand, she cast a Blizzard spell to create a large block of ice and then a Fire spell to begin melting and crafting the block into a specific shape. A few minutes of Fire-assisted sculpting later, Aqua stepped back to admire her handiwork. It was nothing grandiose, but still a good life-sized statue depicting a key moment in her life, the second time she reunited with her friends in The Keyblade Graveyard. Only this time after too many years apart she had met them in a loving embrace. She stepped closer as her gaze drifted towards her caricature of Terra, silent tears falling as he held his icy friends close. Aqua hadn't realised just how much detail she had recalled about Terra's face at that time until it stood before her (nor how seeing it again in frozen form would make her feel). Unconsciously raising her left hand to the (handsome) chiselled jaw of Ice Terra (or rather melted jaw), she found herself overcome by an odd sense of longing. Soon she became aware of her left-hand fingers becoming numb with cold, and her cheeks becoming very warm. Coming back to herself, Aqua decided it would probably be best to melt the statue before someone sees it (Chirithy in case he feels left out of the picture, or Ventus who might start teasing her, though she wasn't really sure what about). As she raised Rainfell again to commence melting, she heard a whoosh sound above her and looking up, saw what looked like Terra heading east away from the castle on his transformed Earthshaker-glider.

There was no way he had finished the chores she set him in such a short time, what was he up to? Whatever she had been feeling before gave way (slightly) to annoyance at his shirking his responsibilities, and she was going to give him a piece of her mind. Going back briefly to tell Ventus where she was going, she then changed Rainfell to its own glider form, readying herself to pursue Terra. She was going to get to the bottom of this once and for all.

A/N: I don't remember the exact geographical location of the memorial site relative to the castle. Don't hold it against me. Part 6 coming up!
