002:
my spot

the two boys walked awkwardly for only a minute or so until a conversation about music struck and they spoke of their favorites until they arrived at a fenced area. "how have you never heard of blink 182?! are you crazy!" benny chuckled in disbelief as his jaw hung low. "i dunno! i- i just don't really listen to much music!!" will giggled. "whaat?!?! music is literally my life, man. i don't know if i'd live without it." he hesitated before 'live' but will ignored it as benny reached for his hand. will looked at his hand uncomfortably and back to him. benny slightly smiled, "trust me, just this once." he said quietly, as will shakily grabbed his hand. benny smiled a big smile, pulling will behind him as he walked into the fence area which now reveals a graveyard.

will had confusion written all over his expression, looking around as benny continued to pull him. fuck.. was this new kid gonna kill him?! fuck fuck fu- "here we are." benny smiled, pulling will to the nearby bench, sitting down. he looked around. it was so calm. usually he brought his cellphone and earbuds but this time he just wanted someone to hangout with. some comfortable happy silence, ya know?

"wh-why are we here, exactly?" will asked quietly and awkwardly, as usual. "well... at my old house, back in maine, there was a graveyard just down the road. and it was where my mom was buried. so i'd walk down there and sit down by her grave, just talk to her and cry... it would help. surprisingly. but since uh, we moved, i just come here. i found this place the day we moved here, since i went on a walk to clear my mind and stuff i decided to come here and just chill. i think..." he sighed, "okay this might sound fucking INSANE, alright? but listen, i think my mom's ghost or spirit or whatever... followed me here." he smirked a bit. will immediately grinned. "really? that's so cool!" will looked around, "hi benny's momma!" this made benny laugh and smile.

he realized he hadn't let go of will's hand but didn't let go now, just leaving their fingers intertwined, making him blush. will scooted closer to benny. he slowly began to lay his head on his shoulder. "so, benny... wh- how'd your mother pass?"

benny sighed, gulping afterwards. "fire." will raised an eyebrow. "my dad lit the house on fire, trying to kill both me and my mom but killed... um only my mom instead, leaving him with burn scars all over his body and in a mental asylum." he chuckled a bit, "but i live here with my uncle, aunt, and cousin now. we lived there for three years but my cousin got pissed over something with his ex girlfriend and she like 'tried to kill him' or something? i'm not sure but i don't care." will frowned, "i'm-"

"don't say sorry. i don't like pity." will nodded with a slight blush on his cheeks. "can i tell you something?"

"of course." benny replied, "well, i live with my dad. but he hurts me. badly." benny became tense, now. he sat up straight and turned to look at him. will gulped, rolling up his hoodie sleeves to show bruises and pulled his shirt and hoodie up in the back to show more. the mood changed, but it wasn't either of the boys. it felt weird, as if someone was close or watching them. will shook off the feeling immediately, sighing and pulling the hoodie back down. he leaned back on the bench with another sigh. "i'm very sorry you have to deal with that will. i know how it feels. my dad used to do it when my mom wasn't home.. he'd do it because i'm gay. but i never even got the chance to tell my mom. because of that fucking bastard. my mom was a beautiful sweet woman. i miss her. wow anyway, enough about me and my parents." he said, wiping a tear before will could notice, though he already did, but said nothing.

a few small raindrops could be felt on the boys'  warm pink cheeks. this caused benny to smirk a bit and stand up. "come on." he said quietly, pulling on him softly. will rolled his eyes, still with a smile on his face, but got up anyways. benny pulled out his cellphone, putting on a song that was one of his favorites... 'Should I Stay or Should I Go?' by 'The Clash'. will immediately smiled, a shimmer in his eye.
