After getting inside a random taxi and arriving at our new home it was time for me to get unpacked. My dad assisted me in collecting the boxes of items and clothes and bringing them inside the house. I left for a few minutes to check around my new room, it was a completely clean slate, not even the bed had been put in there yet.

The house was nice. My room was decently sized with a big closet at least double the amount of the clothing space I had in my old house then there was an ensuite with a sink, shower and toilet (If you don't know what an ensuite is it's a bathroom attached to the bedroom)
'Well that's convenient' I thought to myself with a small grin,
I began my journey back down the stairs to help dad with some boxes but he was already gone.

A bright pink sticky note which was left on the kitchen bench caught my eye.
"Hey, kiddo sorry for leaving but I wanted to get a head start on work. I get my car later on today so we won't have to keep getting taxis everywhere.
I've left some money on the table just in case I can't get back from work on time.
Don't worry about any of my stuff i'll unpack it once I get back
Love you".

I read the note in disappointment. I sometimes question the way his head works but I guess he doesn't really get the idea of how to properly be a parent. I know he tries his best but he promised Japan would be different... Ah well, I need to unpack.

I sucked it up and began setting up my bed and bringing boxes from downstairs to my room, and even though I had full intention to set everything up today the power of jetlag overcame my consciousness and I passed out in my new bed.

A few hours later I woke up realising my phone was dead, my room was still just an empty bedroom filled with boxes and my stomach was beginning to hurt from how hungry I was.
Walking downstairs I found some pizza place numbers and ordered myself a pizza. While I waited for the delicious cheesy dinner I began unpacking some boxes.

By the time the pizza arrived, I had unpacked my clothes and put them away in their new home in the shape of a closet and actually got around to finding my charger so my phone wasn't completely dead, I checked the time it was already 9 pm and I was so fucking tired, jetlag was officially kicking my ass.

I thought through my decision and decided to leave my leftovers on the table and crash till morning and continue to unpack when I got up.

'Damn falling asleep has never been this easy'
That was my final thought before the overwhelming strength of slumber overtook my body and I drifted off to sleep.
