August dropped me off at home and I walked in on my dad making out with some woman on the couch. They didn't even notice anyone had walked in so I cleared my throat. My dad pulled away from the woman and looked at me.

"Sweetheart... you're home... so soon." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Um... yeah, I was hoping we could spend some time together, but I see you're a little busy..." The woman smiled and stood up, walked over to me then reached her hand out for me to shake it.

"Hi! You must be Jasmine, I'm Alice. It's nice to meet you." I looked at my dad and he had a worried expression. He can already tell that I don't approve. I looked back at her and gave her a fake smile and shook her hand.

"It's nice to meet you too." She's pretty I guess. She has bright red hair that stop at about her shoulders; She has a nice frame, and she looks like a decent woman, but I never even knew this woman existed before today. My dad must not really like her. He always tells me about the women he's met. Maybe she's a hooker? Or my dad was just lonely? "Well, I'll let the two of you carry on. I'll be in my room." I give my dad another look before I head upstairs to my room and close the door. I sat on my bed and sighed, staring at the floor wondering what the hell is going on in my life. My boyfriend is in jail... my best friend and I are... I don't know what exactly, but it's going to get me in trouble whatever it is. My dad has a random woman in our house... which is weird because he never brings a woman home. Especially if he hasn't told me about her. I wonder where they met. Who she is... why my dad just brought her here out the blue. It's weird. I want my dad to fall in love with another woman and be happy, but I also want him to be safe. There's so many weird ass people out here, and my dad is such a loving man... he'd easily let someone take advantage of him without even realizing it. Aside from that, my dad just closed a huge deal with his company and got promoted, so we're pretty much going to be one of the most stable families in this town. I don't want to think of this lady taking advantage of my dad, but I cant rule anything out. My phone started going off so I picked it up, and it was August.

5:10pm August: lemme take you out tonight.

I stared at my phone kind of happy and annoyed at the same time.

5:11pm August: On a real date, I want to show you a good time without all the bs.

I looked at his message, and I could use a night out honestly. There's been so much drama between us all and I honestly just want to get drunk and forget all about it.

5:12pm Me: Okay... where are you taking me?

5:12pm August: Where is somewhere you haven't been that you been dying to go?

I had to think about that for a second. There was a lot to do in LA, but I mean if August and I are going to go out... it might as well be somewhere meaningful. Somewhere that we can just talk and enjoy each others company.

5:15pm Me: Let's go to San Diego. I've been wanting to go to the aquarium.

5:16pm August: Say no more ma. The aquarium it is but we might have to stay out in SD if that's okay with you.

Staying in another city overnight with August ? It sounds so very tempting, but I don't want to be tempted... that's the thing. I feel like I'm falling for August more and more everyday. It's like he doesn't even care that I'm with Chris, which is crazy... they're brothers! Not biological, but damn near! How could he just be so careless about all this.

5:20pm August: I know what you thinkin' we ain't even gone bring up Chris. This gone be a Chris free weekend.

Weekend?
