I was training, at the performance center. Bill made me do practice matches, with other new girls. I still wasn't sure if this was what I wanted to do. I don't think people would want to see someone like me on television. Bill walked over.
BILL: "I see you have talent, but I don't see heart."
I sat in front of him.
ME: "I don't know if this is for me."
BILL: "Something is keeping you here. I've seen many women leave fast. I don't think that's you."
ME: "On one hand, I don't think people would want to see someone like me on tv. On the other hand, I've been a fan my whole life. Wrestling saved me. I don't know where I would be without it."
I almost started crying. Bill hugged me.
BILL: "We need people like you. You can tell a real story from the heart. That's it for the day. You can go."
I fixed my hair and wiped my face. I knocked on Triple H's door.
TRIPLE H: "Come in."
I walked in.
TRIPLE H: "Hi! How are you?"
ME: "I'm ready to sign."
Triple H opened his filing cabinet and pulled out a contract. I signed it. I still don't know if this was a good idea, but I'll try. On the ride home, I decided I wasn't going to be a stylist anymore. I just told Joe and Christi. Now, I'm calling Terry.
TERRY: "Hi. What's going on?"
ME: "I signed my contract."
TERRY: "That's amazing! Maybe we'll end up having a storyline together. Plus, I could help train you, since I'm not wrestling as much as the other superstars. Also, I wanted to know when I'm going to meet your family, since you met mine."
I love his family. They are very supportive. My mom isn't. She doesn't understand why I like wrestling. My sister would make fun of me, for being with an older man. Or she would suck up to him, since he's a celebrity. My dad is very hard to please.
ME: "My family is not like yours. They won't understand this relationship."
TERRY: "It's not going to take away from how I feel about you. Please. I just want this one thing."
ME: "OK."
