7. Broken but smart.

Sophia's pov.

The phone rang. I was so lost in my thoughts by everything that had just happened the past thirty minutes that I let it ring a few times before actually picking it up.

''Hello, Sophia speaking.''

''Miss, this is one of the royal guards you sent to Europe. I don't have much time to explain so to keep it short, I think we might have found the main pack house of the rogues but we-" The connection broke.

It was silent, everybody is looking at me, waiting for me to say something. They saw something was wrong by the look on my face, Jace walked up to me looking worried.

''Sophia, what happened, what did they say?'' she said quite calm standing besides me.

I tried to get myself together and then stood up. ''I just spoke to a royal guard, the one we had sent to Europe.'' Answering not only Jace' question but the question that everyone seemed to have. No one dared to interrupt me, even the people that were still eating their soup put their bowls down.

''I have reason to believe that the people we are looking for are being held captive in Europe.'' Even though we're all really tired I see everyone lighting up a bit. ''The problem is that we have no further information, the line got cut off and I'm afraid that the rogues had something to do with that.''

''Sounds clear to me, we should go search for them this instant.'' Alpha Simmons said.

I turned his way, not sure I understood what he just said. I wasn't the only one who thought this was an impulsive idea. Yes of course I wanted to find my Jay as quick as possible but even I could see that no one would come out alive if we tried this rescue as tired as we are now.

''I think we should discuss this first. I for one am way to tired and think it is for the best to go early in the morning.'' Janice said to my suprise. Alpha Simmons looked a bit embarrassed but covered it up and simply nodded.

When everybody agreed to go tomorrow early in the morning I went to my tent, this time without Jay. I sat down and immediately started crying. All this pain all this worrying caught up to me, I let it all out feeling as lonely as ever. I felt so empty and exhausted. I thought of Jay and about him lying next to me, him holding me. The thought comforted me just enough to fall asleep. I knew he was alive, I knew he was ok, he had to be, I believed in that.

Jace's pov.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep right away. But when I opened them I was in the middle of a road, frozen, I stood there. A car is coming at me, trying to slow down, but not fast enough. The flow of time stopped when I smelt that amazing sent, where is it coming from. In a matter of seconds I am being pulled off of the road staring in two dark blue almost brown eyes. His hands still on my back and arm. Tingles shooting up my body. I wake up feeling the loss of the touch. In shock of what just happened I sit up straight.

''Can you imagine how it will feel when we can really smell and touch him.'' Tara says, well actually purrs. I feel her stirring inside of me. Really odd feeling having a wolf inside of you. She hasn't really talked to me lately so I'm not used to it yet. ''Will it feel anything like how it did in my dream?'' I mind-link asked her with slight fear in my voice. ''It will be better, it will feel complete, but it's not all fun, you are special you know.''   And with that I felt her getting calm.

Since I was already wide awake I decided to see if the sun was up yet. With surprise I see Sophia sitting outside on a tree trunk, I wonder how that got there. As if she could read my mind she started talking.
