I close my eyes, and I listen to the voices that wove around me while I sat down on the moist grass. Some came in whispers, like the wind, while the other voices shouted in need. The voices, if I listened closely, could take me to any time period, that I take interest in, and new voices, or sometimes sounds would pop out, and speak to me. All I had to do was focus on what I wanted. Concentrating, I pick a single strand of the most alluring sound that follows me, pounding through my body. The noise made me shiver, but I soon got over it, and rolled my eyes, for getting scared over the stupid sounds. A whisper-like sound strangles me. My silk ebony hair floats as the sound coils around me and screeches.
The sound turns into a moan and warns, 'If thy ever so swiftly, seeks us-me-he-they- The truth is within the Before and After. We-I-he- will come, and serve our debt, towards you. Of which, you must proclaim.'
Soon enough the sound vanishes, and I open my eyes.Everything was in slow motion. The birds fluttered above me, their colorful wings glistening steadily, the wind whooshing in the breeze, blowing my hair gradually away from my face, and the fresh smell of pine wafts around the forest, drifting around the clearing. I could hear the roars and grumbles from the predators, as they stalked their prey, miles away from me.
If only I had someone, anyone, I could tell about this... of...this stupid power.
My eyes scan my surrounding area and I smirk slyly.
Then again, it's pretty cool. And the only thing that I can keep or know about, to myself.
Carefully, I stand and look up at the sky again. I stretch out, a yawn stuck in my throat, as I flex my hands. The clouds turned a tinge of pink and orange. The sun leisurely falls into the horizon, and the birds still gingerly floats in the sky.
Ah, if only I could fly!
I twirl my hair for awhile, simply listening to the sounds that prodded against my skin and went through me. I glance down at my long hair and my face twists in a grimace.
Ugh, I have to cut my hair later--stupid split ends.
Sighing, I put my left hand to my hip and snapped my finger with my right. Instantly, everything flashed brightly and the wind pushed against me, but I stood still, used to the reaction. Then, I begin to pat myself down, and tie up my hair into a braid with my blue ribbon, humming to an unknown tune. I notice that my nails, though sharpened to perfection, the blue and black nail polish was chipped at the ends on my nail.
Damn, I need to get my nails fixed too, or else that bitchy mother of mine will yap of how unlady-like I am.
Everything is now completely still, and once more, everything is silent. I walk over to my backpack and toss it over my shoulder carelessly. I look around again and quietly, a tear slips through my sea blue eyes. To me, the world stilled for a moment, as if guessing what I planned to do.
Ah, how miserable it all is. This world is. Or at least it will be.
I laugh, and whistle, which sounded like a high pitched shriek. Then, all around me, things begin to speed forward. The forest is chopped down; animals pass by and ogle at me; buildings are built, and the trees begin to grow around them; wars started and ended, fighting over this land; people are killed, or eaten by bears, and insects.
